Responsibilities:
1. System Setup and Maintenance:
- Install, configure, and maintain hardware components including desktops, laptops, and peripherals.
- Ensure the proper functioning of operating systems and perform routine system updates and patches.
2. Software Installation and Configuration:
- Set up and configure Microsoft Office applications for end-users.
- Install, upgrade, and maintain software applications, ensuring compatibility and optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve software-related issues promptly.
3. Email Systems Management:
- Administer email systems (e.g., Microsoft Exchange, Office 365) to ensure seamless communication within the organization.
- Configure and troubleshoot email clients for end-users.
- Monitor email security and implement measures to protect against threats.
4. User Support:
- Provide technical support to end-users, addressing hardware and software-related queries.
- Assist in onboarding/offboarding processes, including account setup and access management.
- Collaborate with helpdesk to resolve escalated support tickets in a timely manner.
5. Security and Compliance:
- Implement and maintain security measures to safeguard the organization's systems and data.
- Ensure systems comply with industry standards and regulations.
6. Backup and Disaster Recovery:
- Develop and execute backup and disaster recovery plans.
- Regularly test backup systems and procedures to ensure data integrity and availability.
7. Documentation:
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for system configurations, processes, and troubleshooting procedures.
- Update documentation as systems and processes evolve.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field - nice to have but not essential
- Proven experience as a Systems Administrator or similar role - nice to have but not essential
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong knowledge of hardware components and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with email systems such as Microsoft Exchange and Office 365.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
