Pay: $60-$80,000 depending on experience
Primary Purpose: Implements, maintains, and supports computing environment by performing the following duties
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Perform server administration tasks, including user/group administration, security permissions, group policies, print services, research event log warnings and errors, as well as resource monitoring, ensuring system architecture works together seamlessly.
2. Evaluate system resource utilization, trending, and capacity planning to make recommendations for scope and scale.
3. Complete network maintenance and system upgrades, including service packs, patches, hot fixes and configurations.
4. Perform routine backups and disaster recovery operations.
5. Maintaining server equipment by replacing or upgrading components as needed.
6. Maintain inventory of hardware and software assets pertaining to server systems.
7. Write and maintain documentation for system administration procedures.
8. Monitor system/network health utilizing pre-existing management tools and respond to hardware issues as they arise, to include threats.
9. Interact with the HelpDesk and other teams to assist in Level-2/3 support and troubleshooting, identifying root cause, and resolving issues when needed.
10. Partner with internal and external partners for problem resolution, to communicate project status, activities, and achievements.
11. Research and recommend new approaches and technologies to improve the overall technology stance of the company.
12. . Maintain domain names, certificates, and licensing for applicable support.
13. Produce and maintain documentation of system configurations and work within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval and success of changes made to the environment.

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or University; and/or 3-5 years proven hands-on system/network experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Skills and Knowledge

o Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
• Reasoning Ability
o Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Computer Skills
o Must have extensive knowledge of principles, practices, hardware, and software related to the establishment, maintenance, and documentation of infrastructure architecture and security.
• Training and Certifications – Preferred, not required
o CompTIA
- A+
- Network+
- Server+
- Cloud+
- Security+
o CCNA Routing and Switching
- Or comparable system equivalent
Required Skills, Abilities, and Proficiencies
- Strong troubleshooting and problem resolution skills. Strong written and verbal communication and team skills.
- Hands-on experience with monitoring, system/network diagnostic and analytics tools.
- Understanding of server administration (installation, configuration, storage, active directory, group policy, file/print services, web services, virtualization)
- Understanding of networking protocols (e.g., L2, L3, DNS, OSPF, VLAN, QOS, IPSEC).
- Hands-on experience with monitoring, network diagnostic and network analytics tools.
Preferred Skills, Abilities, and Proficiencies
o Prefer candidates who have experience in managing and administering enterprise level server requirements:
- Windows Server (2012, 2016, 2019 and 2022)
- Linux (CentOS 7 or higher)
- VMWare Virtualization Technologies
o Cloud Based Technology Experience
- Microsoft O365
- Microsoft Exchange Online
- Azure
- AWS
o Experience managing Cisco devices and management tools, which includes:
- Cisco Nexus switches (9Ks)
- Cisco ISR routers
- Cisco AnyConnect VPN
- Cisco Identity Services (ISE)
- Cisco Meraki firewalls and wireless access points.
o Experience with Palo Alto firewalls
o Barracuda ADC Load Balancers
o Data Center requirements:
- Rack and Stack required equipment
- Establish network cable runs where needed
Work Environment
The employee will work in an office environment. The noise level in the work environment varies from quiet to moderate.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to airborne particles such as paper dust.
Must have visual acuity to read and draft reports, memos, letters, etc. Specific vision abilities required by this job include vision adequate for the incumbent to perform the responsibilities and functions of the job efficiently. Must be able to speak and communicate clearly.
