SUMMARY
Implement efficient information systems and operations systems in support of core organizational functions. This individual will apply proven communication, analytical and problem-solving skills to help identify, communicate and resolve systems issues in order to maximize the benefit of IT systems investments. Other duties or projects, as assigned.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
1. Assist in the development, and deployment of new applications and enhancements to existing applications, software and operating systems.
2. Meet with systems owners and end users to identify and resolve business systems issues.
3. Ensure compatibility and interoperability of in-house computing systems.
4. Interact with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors to secure system-related products and services.
5. Perform cost-benefit and return on investment analyses for proposed systems to aid management in making implementation decisions.
6. Coordinate and perform in-depth tests, including end-user reviews, for modified and new systems.
7. Conduct research on hardware and software products to justify recommendations and to support purchasing efforts.
8. Perform and enhance server and security audits, system backup procedures, and other recovery processes in accordance with the company's disaster recovery and business continuity strategies.
9. Provide guidance and support for Tier II and Senior Systems Specialist.
10. Perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization as required. Configure CPU, memory, and disk partitions as required.
11. Ensure system connectivity of all servers, shared software, groupware, and other applications.
12. Repair and recover from hardware or software failures. Coordinate and communicate with all appropriate parties.
13. Contribute to and maintain system standards.
14. Create and maintain documentation as it relates to system configuration, mapping, processes, and service records.
15. Provide orientation and training to end users for all modified and new systems. #ind1
Position Requirements
EDUCATION
Bachelor's degree in computer science, information science, computer information systems, or management information systems and/or combination of education & experience.
EXPERIENCE
5-7 years of work experience.
Proven systems design and support expertise, including Microsoft and VMWare platforms.
5-7 years of experience with Windows Active Directory.
5-7 years System Administration in a large scale environment.
5+ years of experience with File servers, patch management, Windows 7 administration.
Experience in server and systems integration.
Hands on experience with data center hardware and software troubleshooting.
Strong business analysis and problem solving skills.
In-depth Microsoft Server management expertise.
Application support experience with Point of Sale, Property Management Systems, ERP and Casino Management Systems.
Extensive technical knowledge of Microsoft platforms and applications, NetApp storage and protocols, VMWare platforms and Cisco networking.
Working knowledge of current hardware, protocols, and standards, including IP, NetApp storage, Cisco UCS, etc.
Excellent understanding of organizational goals and objectives.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Gaming License
