Responsibilities
Review the Functional Capacity Outcome determination made by our Clinical Unit, and review supporting documentation in preparation for IVAP (Individual Vocational Assessment Plan) creation with our clients
Provide resources and explain the next steps with WeCARE clients, including directing clients to the appropriate team member
Collect additional medical and demographic information during VRS (Vocational Rehabilitation Services) pre-IVAP appointments, identify and address challenges and barriers to employment, training, and education, and create IVAP with each client
Discuss short-term and long-term employment goals with clients to determine next steps using industry-specific assessment tools, ie. CareerScope, TABE, and additional assessment tools as needed
Complete IVAPs within required timeframes
Work with Business Services Coordinators, Instructors, and Community Partner Coordinators to maintain knowledge of employment, training, and educational opportunities and make accurate assessments and referrals for the next steps
Work closely with Employment Coaches and other VRS staff in reviewing IVAP outcomes in order to guide clients to employment, training, education
Qualifications
A Master's degree in Certified Rehabilitation Counseling is required.
It is preferred candidates have a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC) certification, but candidates who have completed their Masters in Rehabilitation Counseling and are pending certification can be considered for this position under the condition that a Certification is obtained within 12 months of hire.
Ability to perform all job duties in compliance with Person First standards, Health Insurance Portability Act guidelines, HRA, and company policies
Experienced in handling high-volume client traffic
Experience in a fast-paced, team environment that is performance driven
Exceptional customer service and engagement skills, and motivational interviewing skills are preferred
Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail
Experience with publicly-funded programs; Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) experience is welcomed
Experience in assessing the need for and making reasonable accommodations in the workplace for clients preferred
