Responsible for analyzing, studying, and implementing new system solutions. Monitor current processes and implement new solutions with the goal to improve overall business efficiency. Work with our team of engineers and developers who are proficient in IT, programming, and software development. As a System Analyst the responsibilities include prioritizing user requirements, overseeing system upgrades, researching new tools and provide support as required. Work during normal business hours and on-call after hours and during weekends on a rotation basis. In this role, you should be highly analytical and able to understand business needs. Excellent communication skills and problem-solving abilities are essential.
Responsibilities:- Consults with end users and gathers information related to new change requests, documents the business need, analyzes the need and determine if new software on personal computers is required or modification to existing software is needed.
- Document software functional specifications.
- Monitor the health of the applications.
- Assist other system administrators by creating, editing, and distributing IT-related documents. (FAQ and Help Guides)
- Within the IT department, the System Analyst maintains documents containing procedures and best practices.
- Conduct training sessions and workshops on system processes in their specific technical area.
- Gathers information related to new change requests, issues, and devises solutions to address the request.
- Consult with other System Analysts and administrators to resolve issues that require extra attention or indicate a larger problem within the IT ecosystem.
- Manages the flow of incoming support requests and escalates to other IT specialists as required.
- May escalate complex issues or problems outside of their field of expertise to IT support specialists.
- Retrieve the user’s computer so that IT specialists can analyze the system and enact a solution to the problem.
- Provide support after hours and be on-call on a rotation basis.
Supervision Exercised
- Bachelor of Science Degree or equivalent preferred.
- Computer certifications are a plus.
- MS Office, Windows OS, Symantec, etc.
- 0-3 years’ experience in a technical support position.
