Job Title: Test Automation Engineer
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement automated test scripts for software applications using industry-standard automation tools and frameworks – Appium is a must-have.
- Must know Java Scripts
- Experience in Mobile device Application automation experience (IOS and Android)
- Collaborate with software developers, quality assurance analysts, and other team members to understand testing requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
- Design, execute, and maintain automated test suites to validate the functionality, performance, and scalability of software products.
- Identify, prioritize, and report defects using bug tracking systems like Jira or Bugzilla, and work closely with development teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
- Participate in Agile or Scrum development methodologies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospective meetings.
- Stay updated on emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in Test Automation and incorporate them into the testing process, such as using AI-driven testing tools like Testim or Applitools for visual testing.
- Mentored and supported junior members of the Test Automation team, providing guidance and assistance as needed.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate automated tests into continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, utilizing tools like GitHub, and GitLab CI/CD.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including project managers, product owners, and technical leads, to ensure alignment of testing activities with project goals and timelines.
- Require programming skills to write computer code and scripts in Javascript and iOS
- Suggest/Make framework enhancements to accommodate the scripting needs
- Examine bug reports, prioritize necessary tests, and streamline application functions through automated testing processes
- Attention to detail
- Communication skills – Strong verbal and written communication abilities in English
Must be onsite at our office 4 days a week in Alameda, California
