Position Title: Information Systems Support Staff
Horizons creates and sustains person-centered opportunities for people with special needs where they live, learn, work, and play. The Information Systems Support Staff is responsible for assisting the Systems Administrator in all routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of all computer hardware and software.
In this position you will:
- Oversee the physical maintenance of hardware in accordance to the Systems Administrator
- Provide technical and program support for all agency staff (help desk)
- Identify and troubleshoot hardware, software and network problems and bring these to the attention of the Systems Administrator
- Troubleshoot system problems and provide resolution under the guidance and direction of the System Administrator
- Maintain detailed written record/log of all work completed
- Provide basic training to users agency-wide on basic software, printers, iPhones
- Go to remote sites (Supported Living locations, ECSU, Gallery, 41 High Street etc.) to troubleshoot and repair hardware and software problems
- Research new products and equipment and make recommendations to the System Administrator
- Participate in all required department meetings with the Systems Administrator and Staff Development

Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must have intermediate knowledge of hardware, maintenance and repair of PC's, laptops and other handheld technology. (IE, iPhones, Windows and OSX Laptops and their components)
- Must have knowledge of installing and configuring Windows and Mac Operating Systems
- Intermediate Knowledge of common Windows and OSX Applications and practices, ex: Microsoft Office and configuring drivers
- Must have Basic Networking/WiFi knowledge
- Knowledge of AD, DHCP and DNS very preferred. (For troubleshooting/end user support)
- Ability to work independently and with a team.
- Organized and detail-oriented
- Ability to recognize trends in problems for faster resolution
- Confident, tactful, and skillful dealing with a diverse team of administrators
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and climb a ladder
- Have a driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
