It Support Technician

SPG is seeking a candidate with strong technical skills and effective problem-solving abilities for the role of IT Support Technician.

Responsibilities encompass serving as the primary point of contact for all IT-related inquiries at the user level, addressing user needs promptly, and ensuring the optimal functioning of all systems, among other tasks. Additionally, the role may involve occasional responsibilities such as installing network and camera cabling, setting up wired/wireless networks, implementing security camera systems, configuring phone systems, and managing door access systems.

Effective interpersonal skills are crucial, as the successful candidate will engage with clients across various departments and executive levels. The role will involve actively listening to the client’s technical requirements, comprehending challenges, and implementing solutions accordingly.

• Providing support to users and being the first point of contact for problem resolution
• Troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues
• Installing and configuring hardware and software components
• Repairing or replacing damaged computer hardware
• Establishing good relationships with all clients and colleagues
• Managing technical documentation
• Keeping accurate and detailed descriptions of services performed while on a service call
• Assisting with installation of Ethernet and Coaxial cabling as well as various network or security systems

Qualifications and Competencies

• 3+ years’ experience in IT support and systems maintenance
• Microsoft Windows desktop environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Good interpersonal skills
• Attention to detail
• Good problem-solving skills
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs
• Ability to work comfortably on a ladder
