Description
Valley Pacific is looking for an IT Support Specialist to help support its IT environment. This person will be part of a Helpdesk team responsible for the installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing of all company computers (hardware), phones (cellular and landlines) and all company software. This person will respond to inquiries from end users via phone or email. The IT Support Specialists will provide service consistent with Valley Pacific's Mission Statement. A successful candidate will have excellent technical, communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills. Valley Pacific is looking for someone who has excellent interpersonal skills, is self-motivated, highly organized, and able to resolve problems.
Qualifications
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide Helpdesk support to end users for all company hardware, software, and applications.
- Administer new user accounts, work email addresses, and access levels to new employees.
- Update and maintain proper inventory of company computers, printers, phones, user accounts.
- Evaluates vendor applications compatibility by testing with existing software and hardware environment.
- Maximizes use of hardware and software by training users; interpreting instructions; answering questions.
- Recommends information technology strategies, policies, and procedures by evaluating organization outcomes.
- identifying problems; evaluating trends; anticipating requirements.
- Works with vendors for support and warranty follow through as needed.
- Ability to work with a variety of individuals at all levels of the organization.
- Strong written and phone communication skills. Ability to work as a Team.
- Occasional travel as required.
- Ability to learn industry specific applications is a must.
Knowledge of the following items are preferred but not required:
Microsoft Server, Microsoft Windows 10/11, MS Office 365, Networking L2/L3, Hyper-V, Active Directory, Cisco Meraki Firewalls, Cisco CUCM/Unity, DNS, IPHONE iOS.
