Aspen Hospitality is the hospitality division of Aspen Skiing Company with a portfolio of owned and operated hotels and residences that currently consists of The Little Nell, Aspen’s only Five-Star, Five-Diamond, ski-in/ski-out hotel; and its affiliated Residences at The Little Nell, both of which are located at the base of Aspen Mountain; as well as the Limelight Hotel Aspen and Limelight Hotel Snowmass in Colorado; and the Limelight Hotel Ketchum near Sun Valley in Idaho. Limelight Hotel Denver will open in 2023, and two additional Limelight Hotels in Mammoth, California, and Boulder, Colorado, are slated to open in 2024 and 2025, respectively. The company also owns and operates the ASPENX Mountain Club and the Snowmass Mountain Club.  

Job Description

Summary
The IT Support Specialist is responsible for providing technical assistance and support to hotel staff and guests regarding computer systems, hardware, and software. The ideal candidate should be able to troubleshoot problems, perform diagnostics, and resolve technical issues in a timely and efficient manner. They will also be responsible for maintaining and monitoring the hotel's computer systems, networks, and technology. This includes end-user computer support, audio-visual (AV) support, application installation, and other help desk activities. 

Essential Job Functions
•    Responding to technical support requests from staff and hotel guests
•    Providing support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, and networking issues
•    Configuring and installing new hardware and software systems as required
•    Maintaining and monitoring the hotel's computer systems and networks to ensure optimal performance
•    Maintain a commitment to providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment
•    Providing training and support to hotel staff on how to use computer systems and software
•    Maintaining an inventory of all hardware and software systems in use in the hotel
•    Researching and evaluating new technology solutions that may benefit the hotel
•    Coordinating with third-party vendors as needed for hardware and software maintenance and support
•    Onboard new users by creating new user accounts via Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and other user-specific applications
•    Provide support during system outages/interruptions and maintain contingency operations until full recovery is achieved
•    Occasional overtime/after-hours work may be required
•    Be available for one rotating on-call shift per month (one week each month)

Qualifications

•    A college degree in Computer Science or related field is preferred
•    2+ years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a hotel or hospitality environment
•    Knowledge of networking technologies and protocols
•    Familiarity with Microsoft Windows 10, Windows 11, and Office products
•    Knowledge of Windows Server is preferred
•    Experience with property management systems (PMS) and point of sale (POS) systems is a plus
•    Bilingual preferred but not required
•    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
•    Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays


Additional Information

Supervision Given and Received 
Given: This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Received: Works under the direct supervision of the Manager of Hotel IT Services. Tasks are assigned according to specific procedures, and work is checked frequently. Instruction, advice, and assistance are readily available.

Work Environment and Physical Demands 
•    The IT Support Specialist will be required to work in an office setting, but may also be required to work in guest rooms and other areas of the hotel. They may also be required to work outside of normal business hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays. 
•    This job requires the ability to sit, stand, and type for extended periods and the ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
•    No adverse or hazardous conditions.
