SUMMARY:
- Responsible for the diagnosis, installation, repair and preventive maintenance of all software and hardware related issues pertaining to the casino’s information systems.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Install, troubleshoot and support user desktops and laptops. Hardware and software issues optimize user desktops and laptops, including: Hardware and Software issues.
- Troubleshoot network connectivity issues and install/re-install cable as necessary.
- Provide basic systems administration support including user account maintenance, password management.
- Provide assistance with the rollout of system hardware and software upgrades and patches as those requirements arise.
- Liaise with, and provide training and support to, end users and staff on computer operation and other issues.
- Ensure efficient operation of the company’s desktop computing environment.
- Assist in ensuring that customer requests via the ticketing system are managed to closure.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area as directed.
- Perform administrative tasks as may be required by local and corporate policy.
- Manage replacement spares through RMA programs to insure maximum hardware availability and minimum down time related to maintenance issues.
- Demonstrate a commitment to ensuring responsible gaming and responsible alcohol service by discreetly notifying appropriate management of concerns and observations.
- Ensure prompt and discreet notification to management of any observation of illegal acts or internal ethics violations.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- High school graduate or equivalent; plus the following are preferred, but not required.
- A college degree in computer science, information systems management, or other appropriate and related field, is preferred, unless otherwise waived by Executive Management of the Casino as based on determined experience and accomplishments.
- Two (2) years of casino gaming systems preferred. Certifications in MCITP, Cisco or VCP preferred.
- Strong technical knowledge of network and PC operating systems.
- Extensive application support experience with Casino Management systems.
- Proven experience in IT infrastructure planning and development.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
- Able to read, comprehend, and interpret simple instructions, correspondence, memos, and documents such as safety rules, operating manuals and procedures and maintenance instructions. Able to write routine simple correspondence.
- Able to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to guests and Employees.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
- Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in small units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
REASONING ABILITY:
- Able to apply common sense, patience and understanding while carrying out detailed written and/or oral instructions.
- Able to deal with and present problem-solving ideas that involves concrete variables in standardized situations.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
- Colorado Support Gaming License is required.
OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES:
- Strong guest service skills and the ability to ask questions and apply deductive reasoning and listening skills are essential.
