For over 75 years, Ellin & Tucker has been a top mid-Atlantic public accounting and business consulting firm. We are looking to add an I.T. Support Specialistto our Ellin & Tucker Information Technology team. Under the supervision of the Information Technology Manager, the I.T. Support Specialist provides helpdesk and network support to the firm through installations, upgrades, and maintenance of the network/system. This individual supports the I.T. Manager in aligning business needs with organizational and technology solutions that ensure team success.
What you will be doing?
- Provide outstanding customer service and technical support to all team members, both on site and remote
- Assist with the delivery of onsite and/or remote user technology training for systems/ phone/imaging equipment
- Establish network/system users, user environments, directories, and security for networks being installed
- Reset user passwords, troubleshoot login issues, maintain computer environments through analysis, troubleshooting, installing hardware/software solutions and upgrades
- Install, configure and maintain windows on desktops and laptops
- Install upgrades and configure network printing, directory structures, rights, security, software and files services
- Perform regularly scheduled back-ups of all applicable systems, test and configure hardware/software
- Assist with the installation and maintenance of network hardware and software, including servers and peripherals
Who are you?
- Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or relevant field with a technology emphasis
- 3+ years of help desk experience or related network experience preferred
- A+/Net+ certification preferred
- Knowledge of accounting industry software- CCH/ProSystem FX a plus
- Proficiency and working knowledge of:
- Windows OS and anti-virus software
- TCP/IP protocols and application
- Remote Desktop Protocol
- LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, VPN Networks
- DNS, DHCP, Active Directory
- Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Exchange, and Windows Servers
- Team oriented, ability to prioritize assignments and demonstrate a high degree of initiative and problem solving
