SalaryIndependent Security Evaluators (ISE) is currently seeking a Part TimeIT Support Specialist. This is an opportunity to work in cybersecurity with technical teams and the support of an IT Consultant.
The Part TimeIT Support Specialist would work about 15-20 hours per week with the potential for more in the future.
We are looking for candidates who are willing to come into the office in Baltimore, MD as needed for regular maintenance, user support, and system emergencies.Our office, in a renovated 19th century mansion with free parking, provides a comfortable, casual, productive, and pet-friendly environment. What You’ll Do at ISE:
- Provide technical support to end-users for desktops, laptops, operating systems, and software applications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and server issues.
- Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware and peripherals.
- Set up and maintain local area networks (LAN) and troubleshoot network connectivity issues.
- Assist with design and implementation of firewall configuration and maintenance tasks.
- Provide excellent customer service by effectively communicating technical solutions to non-technical users while also advocating for solutions to Senior Technical resources.
- Manage help desk tickets from internal staff and document all support activities and resolutions in a ticketing system.
- Identify trends in support asks which could be leveraged for better efficiency.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest technology trends and advancements.
- Perform special projects as assigned.
Must Haves:
- 2-3 experience in IT in tiers 1 and 2 support.
- Experience in supporting Windows and MacOS workstations.
- Experience reading and creating technical documentation.
- Familiarity with Windows and Linux server environments.
Nice-to-Haves:
- Virtualization experience a huge plus
- Associate’s or Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or related field.
Pay:
$35-$40/hour, according to experience
