Venture Lynk is looking for an experienced IT Project Manager for our team. As a member of this team, you will support or oversee the development pipeline and the successful planning, monitoring, and launch of key technology projects for our clients. You need to have a solid project management foundation and the ability to contribute both strategically and creatively to the various types of software integrations, interoperability, or technology development projects. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills including negotiation and influencing skills, enjoy working with/leading cross-functional teams, be able to work independently, handle multiple tasks in parallel, and communicate effectively at all levels within the organization.

Responsibilities :

  • Manage an assigned set of IT integration projects from end-to-end, including gathering requirements, defining scope, scheduling, establishing milestones and resourcing for key projects. This includes leading, directing, assigning tasks, reporting, budgeting, and issue/risk mitigation.
  • Work with PMO, sales, clients and Product Managers to assess items on their current roadmap and help prioritize key deliverables.
  • Document each phase of the project, as well as make summary reports that will be presented to the management teams and escalate issues to senior leadership on matters of importance.
  • When applicable, lead Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, daily scrum, sprint review, and retrospectives) across vertical development.
  • Serve as Scrum Master for IT development teams.
  • Ensure projects are well-organized, run smoothly, and that all team members and stakeholders are communicated to efficiently.
  • Facilitate and lead effective project meetings, manage change and conflict, and develop resource planning estimates to manage project workload and productivity.
  • Ensure clear reporting of project status, updates, and risks to stakeholders.
  • Lead the use of new methodologies and tools across production.
  • Ensure all assigned project requirements and objectives are correctly gathered, understood and properly documented prior to project startup.
  • Coordinate with team members who have project issues to document and obtain resolution of the issues.
  • Adhere to project budget by monitoring expenses and implementing cost-saving measures.
  • Consider and discuss implications around information security within a project.
  • Monitor contracts. This includes review and approval of payment requests and change orders, maintaining regular communications with service provider and/or vendors involved in the project.
  • Create or assemble documentation for the project including operations and maintenance of systems and technology.
  • Work closely with the technical architects, security engineers to ensure security defects and enhancements are reviewed and closed out in a timely manner.
  • Identify training needs of external customer and internal stakeholders. Sets up training based on those needs.
  • Familiar with cloud technology, application security protocols, as well as associated hardware and network systems.
  • Serves as a key resource for project information and resolves problems or questions referred by internal and external sources.
  • Conducts final inspections and reports for the project.
  • Exhibit professional behavior and demeanor at all times; proactively resolve issues using Best Practices and foster a strong, supportive working team.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as requested or assigned.

Job Requirements:

  • 5-7 years of progressive experience as a Project Manager with a focus on IT projects.
  • Must have a current certification, or be in the process of obtaining a certification, in Project Management from an approved source (PMP, Six Sigma, etc).
  • Bachelor’s Degree required. Experience in lieu of a degree will be considered.
  • Experience with the technical planning of IT projects (both software and hardware).
  • Knowledge and experience in cross-functional project management methods and techniques including Secure SDLC.
  • Exceptional leadership, time management, facilitation, and organizational skills.
  • Sound technical aptitude and proven ability to grasp general knowledge of multiple disciplines and technologies with superior computer usage skills.
  • Solid analytical and strategic capabilities and business acumen along with demonstrated work ethic, integrity, and professional conduct and appearance.
  • Ability to produce and present clear, concise, and professionally written communications and presentations.
  • Stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability working with groups to build consensus.
  • Ability to create and implement new work processes and written procedures such as ISP, BCP, DRP and similar artifacts.
  • Goal oriented and action-focused with the ability to take pro-active or corrective action as necessary within established guidelines.
  • Work is generally performed remotely but some travel to project sites may be required.
  • Work outside of traditional work week schedule (i.e. late nights, early mornings, and/or weekends) may be required.
  • Position reports to Director of Application Development.
  • Practical experience in the application of project management and issue tracking software (Smartsheet, MS Project, JIRA, etc.) as well as Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.

Nice to Have:

  • Familiarity with HIPAA or HITRUST within the healthcare industry.
  • Working knowledge of Amazon Web Services, SQL, PHP or similar languages.
  • SOC 2 audit experience.
  • Experience working in a high-growth startup environment.
  • Experience mentoring other Project Managers.
