Position Summary
HomeTech by Mosaic is currently looking for an IT Operations Administrator to join our growing team.
The IT Operations Administrator installs and maintains servers for physical, virtual and cloud computing environments. This position provides systems support to internal and external users to ensure the integrity of operating systems and software. Facilitates operating and software system installations, configurations, patches, updates, and upgrades. Performs performance and security monitoring. Troubleshoots system related problems and issues and works with vendors to resolve technical issues. Ensures systems are backed up and restores/rebuilds servers as needed. This position provides support to HomeTech by performing work in the field such as pulling wire, installing cameras, TVs, speakers, and home automation systems.
Essential Functions (including but not limited to)
- Installs and maintains servers and configures settings, peripherals, services, CPU, memory, and storage for physical, virtual and cloud computing environments.
- Ensures integrity of company operating systems and software by providing systems support.
- Facilitates operating and software system installations, configurations, patches, updates, and upgrades for internal and external customers.
- Researches system needs and specifications to determine needed system updates and upgrades.
- Completes performance and security monitoring and resolves identified issues.
- Troubleshoots system related problems and issues and works with vendors to resolve technical issues.
- Ensures systems are backed up and restores/rebuilds servers as needed.
- Generates various reports using software support tools.
- Performs all other related duties as assigned by management.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Proficient in computer science principles and practices.
- Proficient in LAN/WAN technology, software, hardware, and servers.
- Proficient in current technology security best practices
- Ability to organize and prioritize multiple work assignments while paying close attention to detail.
- Ability to evaluate, test, and repair sophisticated physical, virtual, and cloud infrastructures.
- Ability to make sound technical decisions using information at hand.
- Skill in reading and interpreting technical documents and information.
- Ability to communicate with co-workers and customers in a professional and courteous manner.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or five years of related field experience required.
- Industry certifications such as A+ or Cisco Certification a plus.
- Must possess and maintain and valid driver's license.
Location & Schedule
- This position is located at our Cameron, WI office.
- The core schedule is Monday - Friday, 8:00 - 4:30 with overtime as needed to meet customer needs.
- Participates in an on-call rotation.
