The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT), Division of Business Management (DBM), Bureau of Information Technology (BITS) is looking for an IS Supervisor 2 - Career Executive (Business Intelligence and Batch Operations Unit Supervisor) to work in a fast-paced team environment supporting multiple complex projects within the Department. We take an innovative approach to supporting our clients, working side-by-side in an agile environment using emerging technologies.
This full-time permanent Career Executive position is located within the Bureau of Information Technology Services, Division of Business Management and headquartered at one of the following Wisconsin DOT office building locations: Eau Claire, Green Bay, La Crosse, Madison, Rhinelander, Superior, Waukesha, or Wisconsin Rapids.

Position Summary
In this position, you will be responsible for the overall management of professional IT staff and project leaders in the Business Intelligence and Batch Operations (BIBO) Unit. The BIBO Unit is responsible for products, services, and support associated with the data warehouse, data marts, the extract, transform and load (ETL) processes, and all the supported reporting and visualization tools. This position participates on the BITS management team to identify, develop, maintain, and ensure Unit staff follow standard BITS operational processes, procedures, and standards. As applicable, the BIBO Unit supervisor partners with Wisconsin Department of Administration, Division of Enterprise Technology (DOA/DET), BITS personnel, WisDOT business areas, and/or IT vendors to research, specify, plan, test, and implement Unit products, services, and support.
The BIBO Unit supervisor is responsible for directing, managing, and supervising Unit staff, which includes permanent employees, temporary employees, and IT contractors who serve as batch operations support staff, analytical data architects, ETL developers and report developers who perform services related to Business Intelligence and Batch Operations. This position also develops, monitors, evaluates, and reports on Unit operating plans, budgets, and proposed investments to ensure cost-effective, customer-focused delivery of Unit products, services, and support.
Salary Information
This position is in schedule-range (70-02) with a salary of $48.88 - $57.20 (or $101,670 - $118,976 annually), plus excellent benefits . A 2-year Career Executive trial period is required. Pay for current state employees will be set in accordance with the Wisconsin State Compensation Plan.

- Experience as technical lead in one of the following areas: Data Warehousing or extract, transform and load (ETL) process or analytical reporting/visualization tools or analytical data modeling/data architecture
- Experience managing enterprise business intelligence related projects and/or operations
- Experience working with IT customer/stakeholder engagement
- Formal IT supervisory experience
- Experience developing enterprise data warehousing related policies, procedures and/or standards
- Experience developing and implementing strategy for a data governance program
