Roaming Senior Field Technician is responsible for all aspects of the housekeeping, maintenance and occupancy of the CCC YMCA buildings and grounds, including the. This position will, in coordination with branch leadership, oversee branch projects, triage emergency issues and develop action plans to address priorities, assistance in emergencies and assistance with administrative tasks.
** This position will be a roaming position with a gas stipend **
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. • Develops, maintains, and facilitates positive relationships with colleagues, staff, program participants, and vendors consistent with the YMCA values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility.
   • Assists with facility maintenance, repair and improvement in a timely manner to ensure the proper operation of all mechanical systems, vehicles and equipment.
   • Ensures facility cleanliness and the proper operation of all mechanical systems and equipment.
   • Assists with regular inspections pertaining to fire, health, and safety as needed.
   • Assists with implementation of preventative/deferred maintenance schedules.
   • Coordinates with the Facility Director ensuring that all buildings, equipment, and grounds are maintained in accordance with approved YMCA, OSHA, other certifying agency standards, and state and local regulations.
   • Assists with facility exterior maintenance, landscaping, and snow removal.
   • Assists in troubleshooting electrical, plumbing, HVAC, fire detection and suppression systems.
   • Maintains and controls inventory of maintenance, repair and custodial supplies and equipment. Follows YMCA procedures for ordering materials and equipment including the submission of purchase orders.
   • Responds quickly and effectively to accidents and incidents.
   • Knows, follows, and enforces all YMCA policies, rules, regulations, and procedures, including emergency and safety procedures, and those for the prevention of child abuse.
   • Attends all mandatory meetings and trainings.
   • Participates in activities, workshops, conferences, etc. that will enhance personal and professional growth.
   • Actively participates on Association teams and/or committees as assigned.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent
• Observant, safety-conscious, and able to react calmly and quickly in an emergency
• Working knowledge of carpentry, painting, general repair, landscaping, and other maintenance-related areas including associated supplies and equipment
• Knowledge of the use of cleaning chemicals and all related equipment and machines
• Knowledge of pool mechanicals and filters
• Ability and current license to drive with record that meets YMCA standards
• Computer competency including Microsoft Office
• Ability to work a flexible schedule and respond to emergency situations during, as well as, after hours

CPR/First Aid/AED certification to be obtained within ninety (90) days of employment
