Summary:
The IT Infrastructure & Security Engineer is responsible for operation, implementation, and Security of all White Lodging IT systems. He or She will be directly executing troubleshooting steps, new solution implementations, and IT documentation. Working closely with senior management to listen to needs and propose new solutions which align with business goals. He/She will drive communications between IT and other departments to assure that technology supported functions are protected and secure. He/She will report directly to the Director of IT Infrastructure & Security.
Responsibilities
•
• Contributes heavily to functional network management and develops in-depth subject matter expertise.
• Stays abreast of current industry trends relevant to the network(s) within White Lodging.
• Displays strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership ability across all levels.
• Demonstrates effective problem solving, conceptual thinking, quantitative and analytical skills.
• Executes technical projects in alignment with ownership and the management goals of White Lodging.
• Maintains and matures current disaster recovery systems and processes.
• Demonstrates leadership skills and aspirations to move into an IT management role as the need arises.
• Researches and recommends new products and solutions that will support the goals of the company.
• Leads the efforts to improve company IT processes.
• Executes planned off hour upgrades, deployments, and maintenance windows.
• Monitors, analyzes, and resolves security vulnerabilities identified.
• Delivers Tier-3 technical support to IT Service Desk.
• Provides IT Service Desk on-call rotation 2 out of every 6 weeks.
• Coordinates the bi-annual penetration testing performed by 3rd party security consultants.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
• BS degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, related field, or relevant work experience.
• At least 5 years of experience in the Information Technology industry including managing LANs, WANs, WLANs, VPNs, etc.
• At least 2 years of experience in successful leadership of an infrastructure team.
• At least one relevant IT/Security certification, such as CISSP, PCI-ISA, CCSP, or CISA.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Work will be conducted in the White Lodging corporate office in Merrillville, IN. Work will be done at a desk with computer and monitor and at times in an environment that may require squatting, kneeling and lifting heavy objects. There will be interaction with other staff members. There will be some required travel during hotel openings or remote solution implementation.
