"Effectively lead full time staff members and contractors that providesupport for the environmental monitoring and microbiological testing requirements of a bulk biopharmaceutical manufacturing facility. Key responsibilities include:Lead QC environmental and microbiological testing teamsAssure compliance to all company, cGMP, safety and regulatory requirementsAble to troubleshoot complex issues and defend environmental monitoring and microbiological testing practices and documentation during regulatory inspections.Solve quality and business issues in a quick and effective mannerInitiate and lead Operational Excellence initiatives Participate with Sites, Corporate, and other Functions to execute various initiativesMaintain spending with department budget Doctorate degree ORMaster's degree and 3 years of directly related experienceORBachelor's degree and 5 years of directly related experience ORAssociate's degree and 10 years of directly related experience ORHigh school diploma / GED and 12 years of directly related experience ANDPrevious managerial experience directly managing people and/or experience leading teams, projects, programs or directing the allocation of resources BA-BS/MS in a Microbiology or other life science field5 - 10 years biopharmaceutical industry experience in a GMP environmentExperience in environmental monitoring and microbiological testing including bioburden, endotoxin, microbial identification, mycoplasma and viral testing, laboratory equipment validation, and aseptic processingExperience working in a GMP environmentExperience working in team environmentPrevious managerial experiencePrevious Operational Excellence, Lean, and/or Six Sigma experience Familiarity with (or ability to learn) Power Point, Visio, Project, EDMQ, and laboratory documentation systems"
