This position is located in the Office of Training and Compliance.
EXCELLENT WORK TO LIFE BALANCE! DHEC is seeking a talented independent I.T. professional to lead data collection, technical software, and database projects for the Healthcare Quality division.
Under limited supervision, responsible for a variety of duties related to maintaining Healthcare Quality systems and assisting with data collection, management and analysis. Provides technical support and guidance to staff in a variety of roles with assistance from IT as needed.
Specific duties include:
Serves as the lead for implementation and maintenance of all Healthcare Quality (HQ) systems from concept to design, testing, forecast, implementation and support. Serves as the subject matter expert for the software. Proactively assists users in solving software and hardware problems. Serves as liaison between the Product Owner and Subject Matter Experts (SME's) for Licensing Systems within HQ. Collaborates with members of HQ and the Systems Integration division within IT to optimize code and processes to improve data quality and facilitate data analysis. Collaborates with staff on other projects related to data collection, management, and analysis. Assists in identifying areas of improvement and training opportunities.
Assists in developing and editing training material. Collaborates with the Office of Communications and Policy to keep customers and stakeholders informed of system updates and changes. Supports HQ projects requiring the use of REDCap for data collection. Consults with staff on project needs. Collaborates with Systems Integration on implementation and maintenance of REDCap solutions. Assists with the development and maintenance of dashboards for internal and external use. Performs other duties as assigned, to include, but are not limited to assist in special projects, and participate in disaster preparedness and response, and is designated as an essential employee, subject to duty and/or call on a 24-hour basis during an emergency.
A bachelor's degree in computer science or a related area and experience in computer system development and modification.
* Relevant experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree on a year for year basis.Please note that the agency may require an official, certified copy of your transcript or diploma prior to hiring.Institutions of higher learning must be recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation.Knowledge of relational databases, SQL, and data warehousing.
Ability to write, assess, troubleshoot, and improve Python code.
Working knowledge of REDCap and Liquid Office.
Proficient experience and understanding of computer software programs and database systems.
Ability to research, gather, analyze and interpret data.
Ability to problem solve under short timelines.
Excellent collaboration and communication skills (both oral and written).
DRIVING RECORD:If this position requires the applicant to possess a valid driver's license to operate a state vehicle or personal vehicle, any applicant being considered in the final stages of selection for the position will be required to provide a certified copy of a 10-year driving record.
