General Description:
The IT Help Desk Technician must be flexible and able to work on various projects of different priorities with a calm approach and good attitude. Must be able to document results learned and share information with the rest of the team. Assisted with desktop support, network, implementation, organization, and troubleshooting. Administer and maintain workstations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Liaise with users and technical teams.
Proficient in Desktop Support, hardware, and software
Proficient with Windows domain controller/Active Directory, Administration and Maintenance
Prepares checklists and processes for the LAN Help Desk, including onboarding new employees.
Monitors appropriate security procedures to safeguard the system from physical harm and viruses, unauthorized users, and damage to data; this includes vulnerability management.
Ability to troubleshoot Network problems with minimal supervision.
Performs other duties and projects as required.
Manage Help Desk tickets promptly.
Respond to customer issues via phone, email, and team chat.
Providing customer assistance is a number one priority.
Document customer interactions
Run diagnostics to resolve customer-reported issues.
Escalate issues to the next support Tier if needed.
Installed, made changes, and repaired computer hardware and software.
Follow up with customers to ensure problems are resolved.
General Qualification Guidelines:
Experience, Education, and Certification
A bachelor’s degree is preferred, or in a degree program in Information Systems or equivalent certification (e.g., MCSA, Comp TIA, A+, Network +). An understanding of network operating systems (2012, 2019, 2022 LAN Server), topologies (Ethernet) protocols (TCP/IP), and Wide Area Networking. Strong knowledge and experience with PC hardware and software technology, file interchange, shared network resources, Internet access, and electronic mail.
Knowledge of DHCP, DNS, Active Directory, File Server, and Print services.
Knowledge of Office 365 is preferred but not essential; training will be provided.
