Job Description
Location: Phoenix, AZ (in-office)
We are currently looking for an IT Help Desk Technician for basic desktop support for hardware and printer issues, working with outside IT vendors to schedule computer maintenance, client-side program, computer updates, phone programming, etc.
Your role:
- Install and configure software and hardware
- Manage network servers and technology tools
- Set up accounts and workstations
- Collaborate with the existing MSP
- Monitor performance and maintain systems according to requirements
- Troubleshoot issues and outages
- Ensure security through access controls, backups, and firewalls
- Upgrade systems with new releases and models
- Develop expertise to train staff on new technologies
- Build an internal wiki with technical documentation, manuals, and IT policies
- Other duties as assigned
What you’ve got:
- 2-3 years of relevant experience
- Bachelors in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline preferred, or relevant certification such as CompTIA+
- Experience with databases, networks (LAN, WAN) and patch management
- Knowledge of system security (e.g. intrusion detection systems) and data backup/recovery
- Windows and Mac background experience
- Android Operating experience
- Familiarity with various operating systems and platforms
- Resourcefulness and problem-solving aptitude
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work effectively across the organization in a team environment
- Self-motivated and ability to effectively prioritize tasks
- May be required to work a flexible schedule, occasional mandatory overtime
