As an IT Help Desk Coordinator, you'll be an integral part of the team responsible for keeping LSpace HQ's computer systems and networks running smoothly. From assisting with hardware setups to troubleshooting technical issues, this role is fundamental to supporting productivity across different departments. You'll work closely with external vendors like Innovative Systems (Full Circle), RepSpark Systems, and Shopify, learning the ropes of seamless system integration and timely issue resolution firsthand. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in IT support while contributing to the operational efficiency of our organization.
Responsibilities:
Computers/Hardware:
- Install and configure computer hardware, operating systems, and applications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to computers, printers, fax machines, etc.
- Monitor and maintain the functionality of computers, printers, and fax machines.
- Guide staff through troubleshooting steps and system setup procedures.
- Replace or repair hardware components as necessary.
- Manage user account setup and password-related queries.
Systems/Network/Server:
- Monitor and maintain systems (e.g., RepSpark, Full Circle, ECOM Web) and networks.
- Diagnose and solve system and network problems, ensuring minimal downtime.
- Keep systems up-to-date with the latest software and applications.
- Maintain server integrity, ensuring adequate storage and conducting nightly backups.
- Assume responsibility for data integrity and recovery processes.
- Facilitate system connections for warehouse operations, ensuring seamless functionality.
- Serve as a liaison between internal teams and external system support providers.
General:
- Respond promptly to user issues within agreed-upon timeframes.
- Prioritize and manage multiple cases simultaneously, ensuring timely resolution.
- Cultivate positive working relationships with colleagues across departments.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and conduct evaluations for potential adoption.
- Provide one-on-one training and support for IT-related tasks.
- Maintain office phone systems and provide support as needed.
- Act as a comprehensive IT resource for the company, implementing protocols and controls as necessary.
- Review existing procedures and configurations, recommending improvements where applicable.
Skills:
- Proficiency in operating systems (e.g., Windows, Full Circle, RepSpark).
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite.
- Expertise in computer assembly, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Strong problem-solving abilities for both hardware and software issues.
- Experience configuring and troubleshooting desktops, laptops, and servers.
- Basic knowledge of web development principles is advantageous.
