Until the legal name of the new company becomes effective upon close, the new company is being referred to as Alpha. The Alpha Company is seeking an experienced IT Director_ to lead its global team as the business looks to achieve its business goals and objectives for short and long-term profitable growth. Strategic Leadership and Innovation:

· Spearhead IT strategic planning, aligning technology initiatives with Alpha's growth objectives and digital transformation goals.

· Champion change management efforts, guiding the IT department and broader organization through system integrations, upgrades, and transitions with minimal disruption.

· Foster strong partnerships across business units and with external stakeholders to ensure IT strategies and projects deliver value and support Alpha's strategic objectives.

· Stay at the forefront of industry trends, cybersecurity developments, and regulatory changes to proactively adapt IT strategies and protect organizational assets.

· Cultivate a culture of continuous learning and innovation within the IT team, encouraging professional growth, knowledge sharing, and adoption of best practices.

· Champion the strategic evaluation and adoption of cloud-based solutions to enhance operational efficiency and scalability.

· Lead a proactive initiative to identify and mitigate technical debt through innovative technology solutions, ensuring a seamless transition to more agile and cost-effective platforms.

· Spearhead the transformation of IT infrastructure to leverage cloud technologies, aiming for enhanced data security, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning.

· Cultivate a culture of continuous improvement and learning, encouraging the IT team to stay abreast of cutting-edge technologies that can drive business growth.

· Collaborate closely with business units to understand their technological needs, ensuring that IT strategies align with overall business goals and facilitate a smooth digital transformation journey.

· Manage vendor relationships to negotiate the best terms for cloud services and technology solutions, optimizing the investment in IT infrastructure while ensuring high service levels.

· Develop a roadmap for transitioning key business processes and systems to the cloud, ensuring minimal disruption to operations and maximizing the benefits of cloud computing.

Core Responsibilities:

· Directs, plans, and schedules the development, production, and administrative processing of the organization's computer operations.

· Oversees staff and systems supporting ERP, applications, infrastructure, service desk, and cyber security.

· Assigns and schedules work, or delegates work to subordinate managers and supervisors, and reviews work.

· Ensures rapid, accurate, and efficient processing of corporation's workload by use of multiple computer-based systems.

· Builds systems capability that reflects the highest state of technical sophistication consistent with the corporation's needs and budget.

· Oversees IT vendor and service provider relationships.

· Recommends insights that contribute to overall company strategic management.

· Designs, directs, and allocates information and cyber security measures within an organization.

· Establishes, plans, implements, and administers information security strategies, goals, programs, policies, and procedures.

· Oversees systems and processes governing IT controls around data privacy and government compliance (e.g. GDPR, NIST, CMMC, ITAR).

· Develops strategies to handle security incidents and initiates and implements disaster discovery programs.

· Recommends hardware, software, and related tools that provide appropriate levels of security to the organization and its customers.

· Monitors security vulnerabilities and threats and allocates correct resources.

· Maintains dashboard and analytics that discover security events and identify risks to the organizations and its data.

· Tracks security and privacy violations, reports issues to executives and/or authorities as necessary.

· Develops remediation and corrective action plans to resolve issues while keeping infrastructure and programs compliant.

· Partners with cross-functional teams through the design and development of new or updated products to prevent, detect, address, and resolve risks.

· Manages crisis management policies to prepare for security emergencies.

· Prepares and maintains cyber and information security documentation, including architecture and remediation efforts.

· Researches and evaluates new information security technology, techniques, threats and industry best practices to minimize vulnerabilities.

· Ensures corporation makes maximum use of the general system by providing for the education and training of the principal users.

· Consults with management to determine information requirements of management, scientists, or engineers, determine boundaries and priorities of new projects, and discuss system capacity and equipment acquisitions.

· Confers with department heads involved with proposed projects to ensure cooperation and further define nature of project.

· Maintains a professional, technical, and clerical staff capable of meeting current and future needs.

· Establishes work standards.

· Interprets policies, purposes, and goals of organization to subordinates.

· Prepares progress reports to inform management of project status and deviation from goals.

· Contracts with management specialists, technical personnel, or vendors to solve problems.

· Reviews reports of computer and peripheral equipment production, malfunctions, and maintenance to ascertain costs and plan department operating changes.

· Analyzes department workflow and workers' job duties to recommend reorganization or departmental realignment within company.

· Keeps current on new developments in information technology and plans for future upgrades and organizational changes.

Qualifications:

· 7+ years of related experience in a supervisory position; experience in a global manufacturing environment is preferred.

· Ability to sustain a positive work environment.

· Excellent leadership, communication and team skills required, and ability to communicate change(s) effectively.

· Has the ability to influence, build commitment and overcome resistance.

· Acts with integrity and the highest ethical behavior.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office (including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word).

Education Requirements:

· B.S. Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Advanced Degree preferred.
