One-of-a-kind opportunity to join four fellow vitreoretinal surgeons at Midwest Eye Care, a leading physician run, physician owned ophthalmology practice in the heart of Omaha, Nebraska. We are multispecialty practice with a heavy focus on retina care. This position offers a unique opportunity for a talented individual to pursue a Partner Track within our thriving practice. Call responsibility is approximately one weekend every eight weeks. This is made possible due to our unique city-wide retina call system in collaboration with other local retina colleagues. This allows for excellent coverage in our community while preserving quality of life for our surgeons.

Position Overview: As a Partner Track Vitreoretinal Surgeon, you will play a key role in providing specialized care to patients with retinal disorders. You will be responsible for diagnosing and treating conditions such as diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, retinal detachments, and other vitreoretinal diseases. Additionally, you will collaborate with our team of experienced, collegial ophthalmologists and optometrists to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
· Conduct comprehensive retinal evaluations and diagnostic tests.
· Develop personalized treatment plans for patients with retinal disorders.
· Perform surgical procedures, including vitrectomy, retinal laser therapy, and intravitreal injections.
· Provide post-operative care and follow-up appointments for retinal surgery patients.
· Stay current with advancements in retinal care and contribute to practice growth initiatives.
Qualifications:
· Medical degree from an accredited institution.
· Residency training in ophthalmology.
· Fellowship training in vitreoretinal surgery.
· Board certification or eligibility for certification by the American Board of Ophthalmology.
· State medical license in Nebraska and Iowa or eligibility for licensure.
· Excellent clinical and surgical skills.
· Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
