Hayes Performance Systems was founded in 1946 as HH Products, a Milwaukee manufacturer of parts for outboard motors and small engine components. Today, we are a multi-national business boasting world class operations in North America, Asia and Europe.
There are two divisions that form the foundation of Hayes Performance Systems. The Power division designs and manufactures brake systems for the powersports industry (motorcycles, ATV’s/UTV’s and snowmobiles), agriculture and construction markets while the Bicycle division designs and manufactures suspension, brakes, wheels, and ancillary cycling products.
General Overview: The Director of IT will provide strategic planning, oversight, administration, maintenance, and management of all aspects of information technology systems at all global company locations. This candidate must be strong in time management, creative thinking, achieve departmental KPIs, and be adaptable when new projects and priorities are provided.

Responsibilities and Duties Include and Not Limited To:
- Manage all functions of IT including infrastructure, cloud computing, security, ERP support and help desk.
- Create and implement the strategic IT roadmap to prioritize projects with corporate initiatives in a one-to-five-year timeframe. Identify technology needs and make recommendations to business decision makers.
- Manage IT department personnel, including developers, analysts, support technicians and vendors.
- Manage budgets and expenses, including various hardware and software programs.
- Evaluate the company’s adherence to federal technology requirements (CMMC 2.0 and NIST specifically) for security.
- Participate on all hardware and software evaluations and maintain vendor contracts.
- Implement company-wide technology updates and hold sessions to teach employees on new features.
- Manage ERP system – Infor CloudSuite 10 (Syteline)
- Strong working knowledge of Electronic Data Interchange (EDI), including current ANSI (X12) protocols primarily with large customers as well as external interfacing sources.
- Understanding of Corporate Performance Systems (CPM) and interfacing with ERP systems; Prophix knowledge preferred.
- Integration/understanding of how to link various systems together (ERP, CPM, EDI, etc.).
- Maintain and update company IT equipment on a regular schedule.
- Maintain 24/7 uptime on critical software and systems.
- Stays up to date on latest IT developments (i.e. AI).
- Write, evaluate, and establish IT policies utilizing best-in class industry standards.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
- At least 7 years hands on experience in corporate IT infrastructure setup.
- Infor Cloud Suite 10 (formerly Syteline) in a SaaS, multi-tenant environment on AWS is preferred, but prior usage of Cloud Suite 10 or earlier versions of Syteline is required.
- Knowledge and experience with Microsoft365
- Excellent understanding of computer systems, security, network and systems administration, databases and data storage systems, and telecommunications systems
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate with teams across the entire organization.
- Excellent leadership and decision-making skills
- Strong knowledge of project management principles
- MSCE, CCNA VMware certification is a plus.
