Summary:
The IT Business Systems Analyst is a subject matter expert and will oversee the installation/implementation, management, upgrades, and support of the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. This individual will provide functional and technical advice and support to end-users. This position will work in a team-oriented environment supporting users across multiple departments and disciplines; to support and use our Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system to its fullest potential. In a secondary capacity, the IT Business Systems Analyst will oversee and manage all business applications.

Responsibilities:
- Serve as a subject matter expert and champion for the ERP system and related processes.
- Provide day-to-day administration and support of the Costpoint ERP and Cognos Reporting systems, including onboarding new users and maintaining permissions, troubleshooting issues, supporting users, and working with our internal team to improve business processes through system automation.
- Lead the evaluation, testing, and implementation of new modules and upgraded software.
- Collaborate with business teams to collect, review, and understand business requirements, assess available solutions, recommend options, and implement solutions. Identify areas where the built-in tools may not fully meet the business need for future review.
- Review internal proposals for system changes or customizations; work with existing external resources to negotiate such work where appropriate.
- Develop business intelligence reports and dashboards in partnership with managers to support information dissemination at various levels of the organization.
- Partner closely with Finance to ensure reporting and auditing needs are met in a timely manner as well as any critical activities.
- Monitor and manage system to maintain stability and compliance, including performing scheduled system maintenance and utilities.
- Develops and maintains a knowledge base of best practices for end users; authors and maintains the user manual for staff and provides training to end users, including maintaining system documentation.
- Oversee and manage business applications, ensuring their optimal performance.
- Implement and support additional business applications in alignment with IT directives.
- Provide general support for the IT director and IT Department.
- Carry out any other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, business administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- 5-7 years proven experience in implementing and managing ERP systems, experience with Costpoint/Deltek a plus
- Experience with creating and maintaining business intelligence-based reports; Cognos Analytics with Watson v11.2.4 a plus
- Experience working in or with Finance or Accounting
- Proficiency in problem-solving, especially in connecting IT with various functional areas such as Accounting, Human Resources, Purchasing, Contracts, Operations, etc. Demonstrable experience with business analysis, data analytics, and report development
- Light development and project management experience a plus
- Strong problem-solving skills, particularly in bridging IT with other functional areas
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of industry best practices and emerging trends in IT and ERP
- Familiarity with business processes in areas such as Accounting, Human Resources, Purchasing, Contracts, and Operations a plus
