The IS&T Director - Marine Group's foremost responsibilities are to partner with the business to identify, rationalize, and prioritize Marine investments in information systems and capabilities to ensure their alignment with business strategy and objectives. Through collaboration, functional expertise and influence, the Director will build a Marine IS&T roadmap for each business area and oversee the portfolio of IS&T initiatives. He / She will ensure visibility to the business into the delivery of IS&T solutions and diligently follow up on IT investments' benefits realization within the Marine business.

Business and IS&T Alignment
- Engage Marine business leaders in building a strategic partnership with IS&T
- Influence business decisions regarding investment in IS&T systems and projects
- Advocate the IS&T Marine roadmap to support business transformation and growth
- Support business in defining their needs in terms of process improvements, information and systems
- Foster existing IS&T services and innovation for the business units.
Demand Management
- Assess business needs with business staff to identify and shape opportunities for IS&T solutions
- Support business' opportunity evaluations (e.g. business cases) by engaging various IS&T stakeholders for high level solutions, cost and time estimates as well as IS&T resourcing
- Evaluate business requirements and drive technical feasibility analysis, cost and time estimate, prioritization and approval of new initiatives
- Oversee high level design options, proof of concepts and scope solutions
- Ensure business group requirements for IS&T solutions are useable/actionable by solution design and delivery groups
IS&T Delivery
- Support Marine's IS&T PMO in aligning with the Global Program Office
- Support the launch of approved and prioritized projects with IS&T and business project managers
- Support IS&T project delivery and post-implementation reviews
- In collaboration with the business, monitor and report realization of benefits (as per business case)
Personnel Management
- Supervise a group of IS&T resources (business/functional analysts, technical specialists) by providing direction, input and feedback
- Work with staff to improve performance by providing necessary learning or developmental experiences
- Integration with overall BRP IS&T Team
- Ensure alignment of Marine IS&T strategy on BRP overall IS&T strategy
- Leverage other BRP IS&T teams and capabilities and re-use them as needed locally for Marine benefits
- Collaborate directly with other IS&T stakeholders to manage IS&T budget, architecture, plans, strategies, etc
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in MIS, Management, Business Administration, Engineering or related discipline
- A minimum of 20 years of business/industry work experience, with proven ability to influence senior level management and key stakeholders.
- A minimum of 15 years of supervisory experience is required
- Experience in areas such as consulting, process re-engineering, organizational transformation, Six Sigma and Lean are preferred
- Experience in leveraging technology to enable business strategy and drive change. Demonstrated effective management of a portfolio of IS&T investments at enterprise level.
- Experience in successfully leading major process and systems change initiatives.
- Bilingualism (French and English) is an asset.
Of note: This is a hybrid role. Until the person is fully trained, the expectation is the person be in the office Monday - Friday. Once fully trained, the new hire can work from home 1 - 2 days per week.
