The Information Services Group (ISG) is responsible for providing authoritative sources of reference data to our clients across the Institutional Client Services (ICG) organization, through implementing state of the art technologies which promote the collection, storage, analysis, and distribution of product, pricing, account and corporate action data. The ISG organization works in partnership with data clients across all ICG business lines, deploying solutions to increase their competitiveness, through restructuring business processes, simplifying information access, and providing business intelligence around critical data.
Job Purpose:
This role is within the ISG Technology In-Business Risk & Control team. Candidate will be responsible for providing control & governance oversight to identify and mitigate Technology Risks, and work with key stakeholders to implement solutions.
This is an important role, reflective of the increasing criticality of strong control and governance focus within a large global operations and technology organisation such as ISG.
Key Responsibilities:
The individual will be assisting with Technology control & governance oversight.
- Technology risk reviews and oversight of risks and controls
- Recommend appropriate and pragmatic solutions to risk and control issues
- Identification of control gaps in relation to Technology processes, applications, Information Security Policy and other internal policies.
- Liaising with key stakeholders to ensure consistency and best practices
- Policy/ Guidelines development, standardization, awareness, implementation assistance, and enforcement of related policies globally
- Assist in Risk and Control projects if required, providing technical experience/knowledge to participate in reviews or assist with the closure of audit issues/CAPs
Projects/Metrics
- Projects - Assist on regional or global risk and control related projects;
- Use communication skills to influence a wide range of internal audiences including product, function, or regional executive management partners
- Presentations - Be confident at presenting open issues on the right forums for R&C CAPs, KRIs, R&C projects for regional and global partners/ leaders.
- Relationship Management - Develop strong partnerships within the ISG Operations & Technology groups, as well as other organizations supporting ISG activities (IA, Compliance, etc.)
Skills:
- Ability to analyze data, create process flows and presentations
- Ability to dissect a process, understand the flow, document risks, controls and process gaps.
- Able to interact with Auditors, Compliance and Independent Controls Groups as required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and aptitude in communicating with senior management
- Creative, innovative, dynamic, high energy levels with strong initiative.
Qualifications:
- A business related degree would be advantageous, however less relevant than extensive 'in situ' experience
- Further risk related qualifications would be beneficial
- Exceptional candidates who do not meet these criteria may be considered for the role provided they have the necessary skills and experience.
