Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for a IS Facilities Project Managerfor a contract assignment with one of our premier healthcare services clients in Syosset/Plainview, NY.

Responsibilities :
- Plan, manage, and coordinate project activities to ensure goals and objectives of multiple small, medium, or large IS Facilities projects are accomplished within prescribed timeframe and funding parameters.
- Responsible to establish timelines and ensure project deadlines are met, project integrity is maintained, and project costs are contained.
- Exhibit Strong knowledge of LVC technology with recent experience planning and managing LVC implementations in medium to large healthcare facilities.
- Manage Low Voltage Vendor to ensure all work is done within Building and firm System Standards.
- Create detail documents with low voltage requirements and asbuilds on both hospital floors and system network closets.
- Collaborates with multiple firm teams to plan and execute IS Facilities projects.
- Reviews Network, Telecom, and Desktop PC changes or new requirements and submits requests to the appropriate IS team for ordering and provisioning.
- Surveys LVC (Low Voltage Cabling) requirements on site and submits requests to the LVC Team.
- Manages delivery teams to ensure deadlines are met.
- Escalates issues for appropriate and timely resolution adhering to IS Facilities project management methodologies.
- Collaborates with Corporate Facility Construction and Engineering or IT Project Managers to plan and execute modifications and/or new implementation of IT infrastructures to support construction related to healthcare IT systems and/or applications deployments.
- Manages IT system relocations; Networking and Data/Voice system installations; LAN room and telecommunications closet and Main distribution frames expansions and enhancements.
- Coordinates project activities with organizations or agencies outside the Health System, such as LVC vendors, Electrical contractors, circuit carriers, etc., as necessary.
- Resolves issues to ensure all customer needs are met.
- Reviews project plan to determine timeframe, funding limitations, procedures, staffing requirements, and allotment of project resources.
- Facilitates communication regarding project progress across key stakeholders and ensures timely completion of project milestones.
- Prepares and presents regular status and project reports for management, clients or others.
- Bachelor's Degree or appropriate amount of experience, required.
- Minimum 5 years' project management, planning, and budgeting experience, required.
- Desktop, Telecom, and Network Infrastructure familiarity, required.
- Ability to survey existing communications rooms to determine the availability of network services.
- Able to read and mark up floor plans for distribution and coordination with other trades and supporting groups such as: LVC, electrical, and engineering vendors.
- Recent experience working on projects alongside construction management where premise distribution systems are implemented in a healthcare environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, presentation skills, and project team leadership skills, required.
- Solid working knowledge of MS Office including Visio.
- Strong knowledge of LVC technology with recent experience planning and managing LVC implementations in medium to large healthcare facilities.
- Experience with MS Project, preferred.
- PMP Certification, preferred.
