Who are we looking for?
CAPTRUST is seeking an Investment Research Managerwho will help source, underwrite, and maintain a recommended list of equity managers, as well as play an intracule role with the team's quarterly due diligence process. This position is responsible for disseminating information on the industry and individual strategies to the Investment Group, Investment Committee, and our advisor force through written and verbal communication. Primary responsibilities may include the following, among others:
- Source, analyze, recommend, and monitor the firm’s public market equity investment managers
- Support the recommendations with a clear and concisely articulated investment thesis, documentation, and proactively communicating with internal stakeholders on an ongoing basis
- An ideal candidate has experience in both domestic and international equity markets
- Communicate updates on the active manager landscape and equity markets to the Investment Committee in support of our discretionary models and portfolios
- Support ad hoc requests from financial advisors and clients
- Lead the teams quarterly due diligence effort to properly document and maintain the firms list of recommended strategies
Minimum Qualifications:
- Completion of a four-year college degree or combination of relevant work experience
- 8+ years experience in financial services investment management
Desired Qualifications/Skills:
- CFA or MBA preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Strong computer skills; including Advance Microsoft Excel, Morning Star Direct, and eVestment
- Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to work well in a team environment
- Ability to interact with clients and advisors on an going basis
