About the Position:
To work closely with Production Team Leads on inventory control throughout the facility. By maintaining the inventory tracking system and optimizing inventory control procedures, greater communication with SCM to decrease potential problems or any discrepancies.
Schedule: Monday – Friday 7-3:30pm
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
- Follow well-defined procedures as outlined by Best Practices, SOP’s & work instructions. Take direction from Supply Chain Manager (SCM) regarding daily duties.
- Maintain an inventory tracking system to optimize inventory control procedures.
- Examine the levels of supplies and materials to determine shortages.
- Prepare detailed reports on inventory operations, stock levels, and adjustments.
- Independently makes decisions and utilizes available resources to meet requirements.
- Analyzes/maintains/reconciles various inventory reports to ensure workflow and accuracy are met.
- Demonstrates proficiency at capturing, presenting, and explaining job or site-specific performance metrics.
- Communicates with SCM any discrepancies or potential problems.
- Promotes personal growth and development by staying abreast of new work orders and demand vs supply needs without the presence of SCM.
- Works effectively with a diverse cross-functional team.
- Embraces Practical Process Improvement (PPI) methodologies.
- Access & utilize ERP system.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Must have working knowledge and intermediate skills in Microsoft Office Applications including Microsoft Excel and general knowledge in SAP or logistic software.Use of language, mathematics, reasoning, and computer skills required.Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines and drive projects through to completion with proven organizational skills.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Proficient writing and verbal communication skills.
Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Experience: 2-4 Years of experience in manufacturing field, with focus on inventory control.
