Inventory Specialist

Unique Indoor Comfort (UIC) - an Ace Hardware Company is an established, growth-oriented HVAC company located in King of Prussia, PA. Recently, UIC joined a subdivision of Ace Hardware Corporation called Ace Home Services, a collection of local service companies with experienced professionals dedicated to helping homeowners complete home maintenance tasks. Ace Hardware Home Services has a growing roster of services (including Unique Indoor Comfort), which now include handyman services, plumbing, cooling, heating, electrical and paint. Ace is now better positioned to serve more homeowners who are seeking to have many home maintenance projects completed for them in a quality manner performed by trained professionals from brands they can trust.

About This Role

The Inventory Specialist will be managing daily inventory processes and procedures related to jobs, trucks, and the warehouse. The Inventory Specialist will conduct daily inventory audits of trucks and the warehouse.

Job Specifics

Position Status: Regular full-time (40+ hours a week)

FLSA Description: Non-Exempt/Hourly

Reports To: Warehouse Manager

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7AM to 3:30PM, with possible overtime

Work Location(s): Unique Indoor Comfort, King of Prussia, PA

Pay Rate: Starting salary is $22 to $24 per hour based on experience

What You’ll Do

• Oversee the accuracy of materials that are sent to jobsites. This will include material transfers and receipts of goods specifically for jobs
• Assist in determining the overall job profitability by ensuring unused material gets removed from jobs and put back into inventory or returned to vendors
• Manage the truck inventory for all Installers and Service Technicians. This will include accurate recording of on-the-job material recording as well as daily replenishment.
• Receiving of POs in inventory system. Making sure all material is assigned to proper job and location. Auditing the accuracy of what was ordered versus what was received.
• Conduct weekly Install and Service Truck audits to maintain accurate inventory stocking levels for the entire fleet.
• Help with the management of the price book. Adding and editing the price book for the purpose of ensuring it is easy to use and find and lookup materials
• Maintain accurate warehouse inventory levels. Making sure we are always properly stocked.
• Assist warehouse team in helping to manage the fleet stay in good working order
• Develop new processes to make sure we are operating as efficiently as possible
• Work with team on overall warehouse organization, layout, and cleanliness for peak performance

Required Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2+ years of inventory and warehouse experience preferred
• Experience with the ins and outs of inventory
• Must be extremely detailed and organized
• HVAC experience preferred
• Experience working with vendors and suppliers preferred
• Valid driver’s license
• Able to pass a drug screening and background check

Physical Requirements

• Physical dexterity in limbs and digits to operate hand and power-driven tools and equipment commonly used in the field.
• Physical ability to lift, carry, push, and/or pull up to 50 pounds on a regular basis, and occasionally up to 100 pounds.
• Ability to continually walk, stand, climb, stoop, bend, kneel, reach in all directions.
• Ability to maintain balance working off the ground using ladders, scaffolds, and/or mechanical lifts.
• Ability to climb stairs and ladders and work in high, precarious places.
• Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time.
• Ability to work outside; exposed to heat and cold.
• Ability to see and read with or without vision aids.
• Ability to hear and speak to exchange information.
