Job Summary: The Inventory Specialist will be responsible for various inventory transactions along with pick ticket responsibilities for various departments within the production floor.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Generate manufacturing and purchase material pick list
- Daily inventory variance reconciliation and root cause analysis
- Data analysis for continuous process improvement
- Enter data for quantities of parts issued and transferred between locations, and inventory into computer database.
- Prepare monthly reports for pick-lists count for monthly highlights.
- Monitor daily inventory transactions for accuracy and maintain data integrity in ERP system.
- Audit daily pick list activity for accuracy and completeness.
- Research and resolve inventory discrepancies with manufacturing and inspection personnel.
- Assist with hardware troubleshooting ex. Barcode, scanner, printer
- Comply with safety programs, policies, and guidelines to ensure clean, orderly, and safe working conditions.
- Will be required to perform other tasks as requested or assigned. Comply with Company policies and procedures.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge of modern warehouse procedures, including methods of proper and orderly storage and issuance of materials. Including FIFO
- Proven experience of basic stock inventory procedures; requisitions, and the use and meaning of each; computerized warehouse record keeping systems.
- Expert level of MS Office knowledge and proficiency in MS Excel preferred
- Data Entry experience
- Knowledge utilizing warehouse scanners
Credentials and Experience
- High School Diploma with some college preferred.
- Two years of experience working in a material warehouse or storage operation.
- Previous experience in an automated warehouse manufacturing environment preferred.
- Previous experience in developing warehouse processes
Other Skills/Abilities or Special Requirements
- Ability to sit, stand, bend, climb or walk for up to 8 hours or more per day.
- Ability to work with both hands and both feet on a regular basis
- Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, pivoting and demanding environment with a strong sense of urgency
- Must demonstrate strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work in a team environment and work independently
- Expert understanding of ERP systems.
- Flexibility to work Saturday and Sunday if needed.
