Inventory Specialist (Part-Time)

Position Summary

An Inventory Control Specialist at NatureMed maintains an efficient inventory control system, compliant with state law, and company policy, which accurately reflects the current inventory on hand, at any given time. This role demands strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment. The Inventory Control team ensures the right products are on the sales floor to support customer needs. Your expertise will be instrumental in optimizing our dispensary's operations and contributing to its success.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

The Inventory Control Specialist’s key responsibilities include:

• Assists Inventory / Purchasing Manager with any tasks delegated to keep the inventory room clean, organized and efficient.
• Verifies invoices and manifests; accepts orders from third party vendors.
• Prepares products for Intake, staging, to be properly stored.
• Controls new products going to sales floor by creating Product Label and Uploading product onto the tablet menus
• Provides leadership, training, guidance and support to team members that fosters continuous learning and improvement in performance of the store. ex: How, where to sticker
• Assists conducting investigations as necessary when product goes missing or possible conversion error with W&M while properly communicating any discrepancies with Inventory Manager
• Maintains inventory control - weekly counts, consolidating products, organizing and returns.
• Conduct regular audits to Communicate the needs of the store's inventory to upper management. Audit store inventory performance regularly. Be willing to assist in all areas of dispensary operations, this includes cannabis sales, customer intake and flow, sales floor replenishment, and store cleanliness.
• Perform basic office duties, including correspondence with team members and vendors, to record-keeping and data entry tasks, using inventory management software.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by the upper management within the scope of responsibility
• Other responsibilities include conducting regular audits, overseeing stock levels, and collaborating with purchasing and sales teams.
• Proficiency in utilizing inventory management software is essential for accurate record-keeping.
• Be willing to assist in all areas of dispensary operations, this includes cannabis sales, customer intake and flow, sales floor replenishment, and store cleanliness.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by the upper management within the scope of responsibility.

Qualifications, Skills & Abilities

Required:

• High School Diploma or equivalent, or higher education.
• 1-2 years Inventory experience
• Proficient using Windows-based applications and the Google platforms.
• Highly organized, accurate and attention to detail.
• Effective verbal and written communication.
• Able to adapt to a rapidly changing environment.

Preferred:

• Experience with Point of Sales systems (POS).
• Experience working in a regulated environment.
• Knowledge of the cannabis industry is required for this position.

Physical Requirements:

The Inventory Control Specialist is required to stand for long periods of time, move about in confined spaces, bend, kneel, stretch, and reach frequently. This position may require long periods of sitting and working on a computer; and must be able to occasionally lift, carry, push and/or pull up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and carry boxes that weigh up to 50 pounds safely.

Schedule

The schedule for this position varies but typically Wednesday-Sunday, 12:00pm-6:00pm.

This position is required to report to an office, no remote work.

Travel

Occasional travel to locations within the region is required. The Inventory Specialist is required to have reliable transportation to carry out various tasks, listed above.
