SUMMARY:
As the Inventory Control Specialist, you will play a vital role in ensuring quality Inventory Control by maintaining records of materials in inventory, monitoring reorder points, initiating action to replenish stock, receiving shipments, and reconciling discrepancies in inventories and notifying supervisor of irregularities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include but are not limited to the following.
- Monitor and maintains current inventory levels.
- Process purchasing orders as required; track orders and investigates problems.
- Perform physical count of inventory and reconciles actual stock count to computer-generated reports.
- Receive, unpacks, and delivers goods; re-stocks items as necessary; labels shelves.
- Process and document returns as required following established procedures.
- Perform routine clerical duties, including data entry, answering telephones, and assisting customers.
- Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
- Maintain control of location, dollar and unit value of inventory on hand at all times.
- Schedule and manage mandatory periodic and annual inventory checks to maintain and verify appropriate controls.
- Filing and maintaining according to policy, all physical records.
- Maintain parts list with barcode associations.
- Maintain employee barcode list with associations.
- Inspect shipments for accuracy and completeness and resolves inconsistencies.
- Maintain all inventory areas in a neat and organized manner.
- Follow all required safety procedures.
- Maintain a good driving record.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma with one year of related experience.
