You will work on a team of dedicated support staff to ensure that inventory is maintained across all our retail locations. Candidates must be well-organized, team players that can multi-task in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
Inventory Specialist Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Unload and unpack shipments of products
- Inspect shipments for damage and correct quantities
- Report damages or shortages
- Match shipments to their associated purchase orders and enter receiving data on paperwork
- Record receiving data in company databases
- Prepare and organize received stock for inventory
- Return damaged products to senders
- Organize and sort items on shelving, bins and displays according to company standards
- Accurately maintain company database including all stock and inventory items
- Pick items from bin according to pick lists and pack in cartons
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Assist in quarterly physical inventories
- Enter data in company ERP system or handheld devices
- Available to work Monday - Friday
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to problem solve quickly and prioritize daily tasks according to their importance
- Read, comprehend, and carryout all work instructions
- Ability to count
- Work effectively in a team environment
- Work autonomously and maintain productivity and quality standards
- Be reliable and have good work attendance history
- Possess a positive attitude with a high work ethic
- Beginner computer knowledge dealing with, Excel, Word, Outlook. Use of handheld devices.
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous experience in a distribution warehouse environment preferred
- Observes all safety rules and regulations; exercise care and good judgment at all times
- Report all incident/accidents/injuries immediately to leadership
- Maintain work area to ensure safety, cleanliness, organization, and supply levels
- Maintains safe and clean work environment; properly collects and disposes of waste following established guidelines
- Be prepared to work overtime as needed
- Must be flexible with work schedule and task changes.
