Job Title - Warehouse Inventory Specialist
Reports to: Warehouse Manager
Job Description & Overview:
As a Warehouse Inventory Specialist, your primary responsibility is to oversee and manage all aspects related to inventory within the warehouse environment. This role plays a crucial part in maintaining accurate inventory levels, minimizing discrepancies, and ensuring the efficient flow of inventory in and out of the warehouse. Attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are key attributes for success in this role.
Inventory Maintenance:
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits to ensure accuracy.
- Monitor and maintain optimal inventory levels based on demand and forecast.
- Implement and maintain inventory control procedures and best practices.
Data Entry, Record Keeping, and Quality Control:
- Accurately input and update inventory data into the warehouse inventory management system or relevant software.
- Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date records of inventory transactions.
- Generate reports on inventory levels, stock movements, and discrepancies.
- Implement and enforce quality control procedures to ensure product integrity.
- Report and address any quality issues promptly.
Communication and Problem Resolution:
- Collaborate with warehouse team members, supervisors, and other departments to optimize workflow.
- Communicate effectively with suppliers and vendors regarding inventory-related matters.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies in inventory records.
- Identify and address root causes of inventory issues to prevent recurrence.
Other Duties and Responsibilities:
- Willing to float to the event setup role when necessary to be on job sites.
- Ability to drive or be trained to drive forklift equipment; Order picker, sitting and standing forklifts.
- Willing to climb ladders up to 12 ft.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Highschool diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is a plus.
- Proven experience in warehouse operations, particularly in inventory management.
- Familiarity with excel, word, google platforms.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects.
- Stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
- Comfortable working in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures.
Schedule:
- Position will require a flexible schedule.
- Shifts are based on our event calendar.
- Must be able to work various shifts, including weekends.
