Help Desk Coordinator Overview

We are currently seeking an IT Tech to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential technical support to both local and remote employees. As an integral part of our IT department, you will work under supervision and independently to ensure our employees have the necessary assistance with their technical needs.

Responsibilities:

- Collaborate with internal customers via telephone, email, and other communication channels to address their technical support requirements.
- Assist in handling Help Desk calls and meticulously log all incidents using our company's helpdesk software.
- Provide basic end-user support to promptly resolve basic technical issues and prevent customer service delays.
- Assist in the replenishment of hardware for both our internal and external customers.
- Perform hardware and software configuration and installation tasks.
- Carry out computer imaging, staging, and installation under the guidance of our IT staff.
- Support the maintenance of IT network security, standards, and documentation.
- Interact with customers in the field, with guidance from our IT staff.
- Participate in project work as required, effectively communicating technical details between colleagues and users.
 

Qualifications: 

- Working towards an IT qualification and/or relevant job experience.
- Preferably hold a relevant IT qualification or certification.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Working knowledge of Internet, Intranet, Wi-Fi, and email systems.
- Basic understanding of network technologies, hardware, and software.
- Aptitude to learn about technology and IT-related products and services.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot hardware and software faults.
- Strong commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
- Effective communicator and team player.
- Self-motivated and able to work without direct supervision.

Physical Demands:

- This position is based in an open office environment that emphasizes teamwork, requiring working 2nd shift hours.
- Essential functions include oral comprehension, oral expression, speech clarity, speech recognition, and near vision for seeing details at close range.
