Inventory Manager

Job Summary:
The Inventory Manager will ensure that all inventory items are properly identified and readily accessible in accordance with the organization’s inventory stock level requirements. The Inventory Manager is an expert in the field of inventory receiving, FIFO compliance, and order fulfillment.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

1. Executes daily inventory analysis; identifies and resolves discrepancies and problems.
2. Oversees stock item master, identifying incorrect descriptions and stock numbers.
3. Locates items that may have incorrect locations or stock numbers to assist order processors.
4. Communicates with purchasing department as needed regarding new items, changes of location, counts, etc.
5. Ensures milestones and goals are met.
6. Ensures adherence to approved budget.
7. Performs and assists with general maintenance and cleanup of warehouse.
8. Operates forklift as needed.
9. Hires and trains inventory staff.
10. Oversees the job assignments and activities of inventory staff.
11. Collaborates with warehouse managers to provide performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
12. Performs additional related duties as assigned.

Requirements and Qualifications:

1. Ability to anticipate and resolve problems in a timely manner.
2. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
3. Excellent interpersonal skills and attention to detail.
4. Excellent critical thinking skills.
5. Thorough understanding of inventory policies and procedures.
6. Strong record-keeping abilities.
7. At least two years of experience in related area required.
8. At least one year of supervisory experience preferred.
9. Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50lbs and over 50lbs with assistance.
10. Ability to lift and carry waist, shoulder, and overhead high.
11. Ability to work in a cold and hot environment.
12. Ability to walk, stand, and sit for the duration of the work shift.
