THE IMPACT YOU CAN HAVE:
The Manager Inventory Control will work closely with the Senior Manager Inventory Control to manage the day to day activities of the Inventory Control team and assist with supporting the reporting needs of the business, improving process efficiencies and building culture.
YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH THESE GOALS BY:

• Managing a team of approximately 8 individuals and monitor employee KPI data to ensure effective, efficient processing and that workload balance is optimally spread among the team.
• Working with Senior Manager Inventory Control to ensure internal control policies and procedures are followed.
• Managing the planning and overseeing the daily activities of the Inventory Control Department which includes the understanding of the inventory flow through the business. This also includes a significant depth of understanding and capabilities of MIA, our store inventory processing application/device.
• Planning and execution efforts of store physical inventories and cycle counts.
• Reviewing and approving physical inventory reconciliations and charge-backs to the distribution centers.
• Assisting with training new Inventory Control associates, as well as ongoing training for existing associates.
• Assisting the business (Finance) and IT in project definition, refinement and initiation.
• Working with the business (Finance) and IT Quality Assurance (QA) to develop, execute and report on the status and results of user acceptance testing (UAT) strategies and scenarios.
• Collaborating with other areas of the organization, including IT, Store Operations, Store General Managers and District Managers, Loss Prevention, General Accounting, and the Director of Accounting Administration, to respond to and solve issues and inquiries based on subject matter knowledge and expertise.
• Partnering with Supply Chain and Store Operations to effectively improve in-stock positions and overall inventory integrity.
• Preparing weekly reports and other analytics, as needed
• Be an integral part of all new IT/Business projects that affect Inventory Control and General Accounting. Perform user acceptance testing and review testing performed by QA.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead and retain top talent within the department while fostering an Ulta core values based environment.
• Prepare monthly journal entries and account reconciliations, as needed.
Participate in on-boarding training sessions for new members of the Loss Prevention and District Manager Teams.

THE ESSENTIALS FOR SUCCESS:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of accounting experience, with a focus on inventory or equivalent.
• CPA preferred.
• Strong Excel skills.
• Ability to lead and motivate a team.
• Strong analytical skills coupled with the ability to interpret and communicate findings to all areas of the business.
• Demonstrated project management planning/execution skills with a record of leading projects to obtain tangible business results.
• Demonstrated excellence in building relationships with cross-functional Business and IT partners.
• Ability to influence, inform, and collaborate with Management and third-party service providers.
• Knowledge of financial processes and internal controls.
• Proficient in MS Office, SAP and BW systems.
• Detail and deadline oriented
• Organized, dedicated and reliable with a high degree of efficiency
• Very strong communication, writing and interpersonal skills
• Displays professionalism and tact when dealing with others
• Demonstrates leadership qualities and is recognized as an expert within the organization
• Works independently with little or no supervision necessary
