Position Summary: The Inventory and Logistics Manager is a very hands on position. Responsible for Inventory Management (inbound, outbound, inventory discrepancies), Production Forecasting, Production Packs/Production Planning (direction to Production facility on product specifications), Job Costing/Production Reconciliation, and all related logistics. And ensures that all efforts contribute to the best financial interests of Transpacific Food, Inc.
Essential duties and responsibilities
Inventory
- Harvest tracking and inbounds
- Receiving of raw materials
- Inventory issue reporting to growers
- Inventory discrepancy management
- Inventory valuation
- Inventory vs valuation report adjusting entry
- Inventory reconciliation from cold storage facilities
- Production forecast/Raw Material (RM) needs and allocation of RM to committed and uncommitted
- Production Pack preparation for Processing Plant
- Yield report and WIP account reconciliation
- Review all paperwork for neatness and accuracy
- Conduct internal or external inspections as needed
- Work to minimize material loss
- Strive to meet or exceed shrink to ensure <1% each month
- Arrange prepay and add shipments for customers, as requested
- Work with outside vendors to resolve problems
- Keep open line of communication with dispatch, peers, supervisors, departments and management
- Suggest ideas or solution to improve efficiencies
- Assist in development and implementation of any new process or policy
- Responsible for reporting any food safety concerns and empowered to do so

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and abilities)
- High work ethic and Team Player
- Technically proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Technically proficient in QuickBooks Enterprise
- Technically proficient in inventory management and warehouse management systems
- Strong attention to detail, strong organizational and planning skills with ability to adjust to accommodate customer needs
- Be open and willing to try new ideas
- Give and seek honest feedback towards reliability initiative and be willing to participate in reliability committees
- Have a positive attitude towards reliability

Labor Control
- Work shifts as scheduled or needed

- Experience degree with relevant experience or a minimum 5 years industry experience
- Attend suggested and required seminars and training classes for continued improvement
- Must have strong math skills, computer proficient and possess good written and verbal skills
