Johnson and Johnson’s HR Communications team is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Communications Manager for Global Talent Management to join our team. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Global Talent Management Communications, this role will be responsible for assisting with developing and performing effective communication strategies to internal stakeholders. The primary focus will be on crafting engaging communications materials for internal audiences and supporting the strategic initiatives for Global Talent Management. Global Talent Management owns the design and integration of talent solutions so that our people can impact health. This includes learning and development resources, decision science (people analytics) tools, and talent access solutions. As a member of the Human Resources Communications team, you will play a meaningful role in advancing our culture and positioning Johnson & Johnson as a great place to work.

Key Responsibilities:

Internal Communications:

  • Support the team implementing the Global Talent Management (GTM) communications strategy, inclusive of campaigns across Learning & Development, Decision Science, and Talent Access organizations, in alignment with the global HR communications strategy and with consideration for broader enterprise communications initiatives.
  • Develop and deploy robust communication plans and strategies to effectively communicate key messages to internal audiences, including building message maps and cascades.
  • Lead communications campaigns including development of communications cascades, toolkits, articles, and employee announcements; ensuring consistency with key messaging as identified by the senior manager, business partners, and J&J messaging.
  • Handle a portfolio of programs and projects simultaneously.
  • Help to identify appropriate enterprise communications channels for each initiative, such as Home (intranet), emails, town hall meetings, and internal social platforms (Yammer), to disseminate information to employees.
  • Identify key performance metrics and measurement tools, approaches, and systems to drive insights and performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and business partners to gather necessary information and ensure accuracy and relevance of internal communications.
  • Monitor communications in alignment with various calendars to ensure timely distribution of communications.
  • Assist with drafting talking points and assist with the preparation of briefing books and presentation slides for executives.
  • Works with the employee publications teams to submit and post content to the internal communications channels.

Communication Strategy and Planning:

  • Develop key performance metrics and measurement tools, approaches, and systems to drive insights and performance.
  • Identify and develop strategies to drive employee engagement and support key change management initiatives across the enterprise.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and standard methodologies in internal and external communications, bringing fresh ideas and innovative approaches to the team.
  • Run operational tools and technology, including metrics dashboard and integrated calendar, to ensure collaboration across broader HR Communications team.
  • Use tools like Salesforce Marketing, Annimaker, Bitly, and other tools to plan and develop communications plans.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree or above, in Communications, Marketing, or other related field.

Experience and Skills:

Required:

  • Minimum of 6-8 years of proven experience in communications, public relations; preferrably with expertise in internal communications and external talent attraction.
  • Strong writing and editorial skills, with the ability to tailor messages for different audiences and channels.
  • Strategic problem solver with ability to develop robust strategies to engage employees.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously and meet tight delivery dates.
  • Proficient in using various communication channels and tools, including intranet platforms, email marketing software, and social media platforms (Salesforce Marketing, PoliteMail, Bitly, etc.).
  • Self-starter, creative and collaborative, with a curiosity about global interactions and a dedication to excellence.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate optimally with cross-functional teams and form relationships with partners at all levels.

Preferred:

  • Some experience in external communications, including award opportunities, speaking events, and conferences.
  • Strong analytical and research skills, with the ability to gather insights and identify trends to inform communication strategies.
  • Experience working with external agencies.

Salary:

The compensation and benefits information set forth in this posting applies to candidates hired in the United States. Candidates hired outside the United States will be eligible for compensation and benefits in accordance with their local market.

The base pay range for this position is $97,000- $166,750.

Bonus:

The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/ performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis.

  • Employees and/or eligible dependents may be eligible to participate in the following Company sponsored employee benefit programs: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, business accident insurance, and group legal insurance.
  • Employees may be eligible to participate in the Company’s consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)).
  • Employees are eligible for the following time off benefits:
  • Vacation – up to 120 hours per calendar year
  • Sick time - up to 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington – up to 56 hours per calendar year
  • Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays – up to 13 days per calendar year
  • Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year
