Starcorr Sheets, an affiliate of Schwarz Partners, and corrugated manufacturing industry leader currently has an exciting opportunity available for an Inventory Coordinatorin Temple, TX. The Inventory Coordinator is responsible for maintaining good housekeeping, assisting in parts requisition for purchaser, inventory cycle counts, stocking receiving, and organizing labels. Loading and unloading packages and maintaining contact with vendors for status updates.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS FOR THIS POSITION:
  • Follow all safety and company policies and procedures including maintaining good housekeeping, reporting any issues, accidents or incidents immediately; must complete online safety training each month as assigned.
  • Promptly and accurately monitor, count, and record the plant's inventory of all supplies, parts and materials.
  • Establish, maintain, and regularly use a computerized maintenance management system (MVP) to track inventory, work orders, spare parts, maintenance history of plant equipment, and minimum/maximum numbers of parts for reorder.
  • Direct appropriate paperwork, including packing slips, return information, and purchase orders to Accounting for proper invoicing and record-keeping.
  • Unloading of packages-assist in shipping parts, loading, and unloading the parts.
  • Assist in preparing kits (parts) for work orders.
  • Inventory receiving, stocking, organizing, labeling-received parts, stocking parts, organizing parts, labeling parts in bin and Inventory cycle counts.
  • Assist with end of month closing and maintenance purchasing account balances. Turn in Receivers and P.O.s to Accounting daily as shipments are received.
  • Provides input to appropriate leadership personnel regarding suggestions or methods that will improve plant maintenance and purchasing record keeping processes and procedures.
  • Assist in parts requisition for purchaser to order parts. Prepare parts order list for purchaser.
  • Assist buyer/planner with cycle count on inventory parts including month end
  • 1404, PNP, and consumables. The maintenance manager signature is required on all month end inventories.
  • Assist in requesting quotes, contact vendors for quotes/pricing and lead times to present to purchaser for purchase requisitions.
  • Follow up on all work orders, contact vendors for status updates, delays and delivery.
  • Process receiver to invoice match physical invoice to packing receivers and PO to give to AP.
  • Miscellaneous errands and other duties as required with limitation to purchasing.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization including management, employees, and vendors.
  • Must be well organized and always keep the working area clean.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours and/or extended hours including weekends.
  • Regular and predictable attendance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Must maintain tracking of all purchase orders, receivers, and the accounting checkbook for reconciliation for month end process. All expenses occurred within a month must be recognized within the month. Meet with accounting AP personnel at month end to determine proper accrual of POs received/performed but not invoiced by vendor yet.
  • Maintain all vendor-based consignment inventories such as BHS pick and pay or other manufacturing supply consumables.
  • Assure reliable physical assets and operating systems to manage and maintain the state-of-the-art strategy to monitor inventory of parts and equipment to avoid downtime.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables.
  • May be responsible to collect wastewater and stormwater results as required. May also include reporting for both municipal tracking requirements.
  • Data entry for filling and organizing work orders.

REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
  • GED or high school diploma.
  • 3+ years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination.
  • Minimum of 6 months manufacturing experience.

PREFERRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
  • 3+ years' experience and/or training.
  • Corrugated experience.

REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES:
  • Ability to read and communicate in a team.
  • Strong work ethic with emphasis on safety.
  • Excellent people skills and communication, both verbal and written.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Must have computer skills including EXCEL.

  • Superior time management skills including the ability to manage multiple issues concurrently and the ability to lead an effective and efficient meeting.
  • Ability to teach in order to function effectively as a teacher for his/her personnel both in the technical and administrative parts of the position.

  • Demonstrated confidence including providing a consistent leadership style with an acceptable level of professional assertiveness.
  • Professional appearance to support his/her role as a supervisory representative of the company.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Constant standing, talking, hearing, walking; frequent stooping and bending, twisting, turning, maintaining balance; occasional kneeling and reaching over the shoulder; also required simple grasping, pushing, and pulling; must be able to lift to 50 lbs.; specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, distance vision, depth perception and peripheral vision.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
