The Inventory Control Coordinator will ensure that all inventory items are properly identified and readily accessible in accordance with the organization’s inventory cycle.
Duties/Responsibilities:- Executes daily inventory analysis; identifies and resolves discrepancies and problems.
- Oversees stock item master, identifying incorrect descriptions and stock numbers.
- Delegates all sales orders printed in a timely fashion. Turn in all sales orders to purchasing and all back orders to receiver.
- Analyzes all printed sales orders and mark items we have in stock. Provide all sales orders to order picker. Once, pulled turn in all sales orders to purchasing. Inform manager of all completed orders.
- Supervises, oversees, and plans every activity that relates to Inventory Control in the organization or warehouse environment.
- Monitors inventory levels and replenish stock as needed.
- Provides manager, project managers and purchasing with accurate up-to-date quantities, descriptions, and status of inventory as needed.
- Performs bi-weekly physical inventory. Scan and email physical inventory counts to manager and purchasing.
- Maintains all stock items organized in their correct bin locations.
- Verifies inventory computations by comparing them to physical counts of stock, investigate discrepancies and adjust errors. Report all discrepancies to manager.
- Examines and inspects stock items for defects and report any damage to manager.
- Generates bin location(s) for all new stock item(s) and update data in software.
- Stores all inbound stock items in an orderly and accessible manner in the warehouse.
- Locates items that may have incorrect locations or stock numbers to assist order processors.
- Communicates with Purchasing Department as needed regarding new items, changes of location, counts, etc.
- Ensures milestones and goals are met.
- Ensures adherence to approved budget.
- Performs and assists with general maintenance and cleanup of warehouse.
- Operates forklift as needed.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and attention to detail.
- Thorough understanding of inventory policies and procedures.
- At least five years of experience in related area required.
- At least one year of supervisory experience preferred.
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
