Inventory Control Specialist – Ideal Candidate
About the Role:
As the Inventory Control Specialist, you will ensure that the company inventory is stored properly in physical locations and that the accuracy of all inventory items is maintained properly in company systems.

This role will report directly to the Vice President of Operations.
What You'll Do:
- Oversee and actively participate in a consistent, strategic, daily Cycle Count program
- Validate and research audit discrepancies from inventory storage locations
- Utilize root-cause analysis and research errors with system inaccuracies, order pulling errors, historic transactional data and improperly located items
- Track product movement from receipt, put-away, pick, transfer, consolidate, count, adjustment, ship etc.
- Consistently validate and update “zero bin”/OPEN storage locations for use and multiple, same-product bin locations for consolidation
- Assist in maintaining product unit of measure data in systems and notifications on warehouse racking
- Accountability for cleanliness standards and organization of assigned, warehouse sections
- Document and maintain audit results for review by departmental leaders and Management
- Communicate and immediately address any products found to be improperly stored, damaged or non-saleable. Urgently notify departmental leaders about any quality-related concerns with inventory.
- Confirm condition of products and properly process inbound/returned products and outbound/RTV products (RMA control processing)
- Assist with planning physical, financial inventories and lead the efforts in executing a successful, physical inventory count
- Collaborate with others on specific projects related to overall Inventory Control procedures

What you need to Succeed:
- Knowledge and familiarity with Inventory Control procedures to include receiving, put-away, storage, movement of products, order fulfillment and shipping
- Strong math and analytical skills (accurate calculations are required in this role)
- Excellent organizational sills and ability to work independently
- Ownership commitment for all inventory accuracies and consistent maintenance of system counts
- Computer skills and hand-held scanner knowledge/operational comfort
- Ability to create Word documents and Excel spreadsheets for reporting, information tracking
- Strong communication skills (verbal and email) with both internal and external customers
- Unit of measure knowledge and ability to quickly learn product function and package identifiers
- Reading ability to learn product information, Part #’s, serial #’s and differentiation of similar items
- Knowledge of BarTender software and ability to use label printers
- WMS software knowledge and Epicor/P21 highly preferred
- Fork-lift and reach truck experience/certification is preferred

Your work environment:
This role operates in a warehouse environment. The individual routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, i-phone scanners, phones, photocopiers, and fax machines.

Your Position Type and Expected Hours:
This is a full-time, hourly position. Typical days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., up to 40 hours per week. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
