Int’l Trade & Events Marketing Coordinator
Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures Marketing is the global marketing arm of The Walt Disney Studios. Our business is responsible for the creative advertising, research, media, publicity, and promotion of theatrical and streaming properties released by the Walt Disney Studios: Disney Live Action, Marvel, Lucasfilm, Disney Animation, Pixar, DisneyNature, 20th Century Studios, Star Original and Disney+.
The Int’l Trade & Marketing Events Coordinator is part of a team whose core mission is to ensure successful meetings and events by overseeing access to marketing materials for use amongst global LOBs, Exhibitors, Retailers, Licensees, and Promotional Partners. Likewise, this team facilitates creation of marketing materials for trade events.
The ideal candidate is someone who will provide unparalleled support and guidance for event requests, demonstrate strong organizational and communication skills, be flexible and adaptable, and be a proactive team member.
Responsibilities and Duties of the Role:
Using a proprietary online request system, GSS SP (Global Screening System – Special Presentations), facilitate event requests from draft through fulfilment:
Review and evaluate requests in a timely fashion
Interface with Domestic and International requestors to understand full scope of presentation needs and ensure it meets the required usage and security protocols
Build effective and productive working relationships across teams at all levels to gain approvals and progress active requests
Communicate key request details and updates to fulfilment teams
Ensure on-time delivery of all meeting materials
Familiarize on current and upcoming marketing materials, including what content is being created, when it will be available, and how it can be used; update GSS SP content record descriptions to aid requesters in their selections
Create instructions and facilitation fulfilment of marketing materials distribution via Box for the Brand Ambassador program
Create team analytics reports - update detailed Excel reports to be distributed to senior leadership
Update presentation materials in Keynote and PowerPoint, as well as apply watermarking
Take notes/update Trade and Cinema Partnership schedules to distribute to Domestic and International teams
Support team with major trade events and summits, including pulling assets to create presentation materials, processing payment with vendors, creating schedules or other support documents for event planning, and performing duties at local events as needed (e.g. running mics, check-in, NDA signing, etc.)
Be proactive – anticipate recurring events, suggest system improvements, collaborate with team on process enhancements
Provide administrative duties for team, such as expense reports, travel coordination, scheduling meetings, guest passes, etc.
Required Education, Experience/Skills/Training:
BA in Marketing, Film, Communications, or relevant subject
At least 1 years of Marketing or related experience, preferably in entertainment – International experience a plus!
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Keynote, Adobe Photoshop
Highly organized with strong attention to detail; sharp memory skills
Strong written and oral communication skills – always with kindness and sensitivity
Self-starter, requiring minimal direction and showing resourcefulness
A team player – someone who takes pride in their work and doesn’t hesitate to help others; someone who shares ideas, innovations, and best practices that can benefit others
“Gatekeeper” and content security understanding
Must be able to multi-task, accept changes readily and be flexible in adapting to re-prioritize tasks
Willing to work overtime if needed depending on event requirements or time zone differences
Capable at using project management tools and techniques
Able to manage tasks and assignments to ensure accurate and timely completion
Experience or familiarity in film, audio and video post-production helpful
The hiring range for this position in Burbank, CA is $51,300 - $66,300 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
