Augusta Health IR is seeking a RN to join our team and aid nursing care in the day-to-day IR operations for scheduled outpatients and add-on inpatients. The IR Nurse in this role will be responsible for daily phone calls to scheduled IR patients, assisting the scheduler with ORM, administering medications to patients in outlying radiology departments, monitoring MRI pacemaker patients, assisting when needed to prep/recover patients as well as procedural nursing, and assist in covering nurse support at our outpatient imaging center.
Responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:
- Performing assessments of patients and evaluating their needs.
- Critical thinking skills.
- Interventional Radiology case circulating.
- Administering conscious/moderate sedation.
- Monitoring recovery phase of sedation/procedure.
- Documenting all patient care actions in EMR.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Monitoring and interpreting vital signs, EKG rhythms, etc.
- Collaborating in the identification of patient needs and/or problems.
- Educating caregivers with information to assist with the care of the patient.
- Excellent work ethic.
Experience
2 years experience in Interventional Radiology, critical care, cath lab or ER preferred

ADN/BSN
License Requirements
Current Virginia state R.N. licensure
