Position Overview:
The Dometic Internship Program is a professional learning experience that offers meaningful, practical work related to a student’s field of study or career interest. Our program gives students the opportunity to collaborate with team members, to have a meaningful project that allows you to have impact, career exploration and development, to learn new skills, and get to know other interns.
As the eBusiness Americas Intern, you will have the opportunity to work a strategic priority for Dometic Americas: Build a Premium Brand. You will solve critical business problems and contribute meaningful value to our organization by reviewing how the product strategy and sales channel strategy align and are executed to ensure our success. You will gain exposure to various aspects of eBusiness in the United States and focus primarily on the Authorized Internet Reseller program, ensuring there is compliance to the agreement and the Universal Pricing Policy which protects the Dometic brand equity and ensures a fair and level playing group for resellers.
Measurables will include a review of the state of the program, identifying areas for improvement; regular monitoring, reporting and engaging with all relevant dealer websites and 3P marketplaces to ensure compliance; review and development of a business model to understand the impact of online sales on Dometic business.
Anticipated output will include a power point presentation of the state of the program and recommended strategy, and documentation outlining the timeline and key stakeholders.
This position reports to the Manager, B2B Ecommerce, Americas.
Main responsibilities:
- Analysis of top performing products online
- Decipher, engage, and protect our retail-dealer seller network landscape with pricing intelligence software (Price Spider)
- Report out on all UPP infringements and inform Territory Sales Managers
- Recommend product purchases for rogue retailers who are not acquiescing to the UPP to determine where channel leakage may occur
- Work with marketing to revamp the Brand Protection landing page
- Actively enrolled in a college or university seeking a degree. The following programs are preferred: sales, digital marketing, liberal arts, or IT management
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize activities
- Highly organized with multiple ongoing projects
- Proficient with MS Excel and willing to learn new software/systems as introduced
- Teams, MS Office, PowerPoint, word, and excel experience/knowledge
- Prefer past experiences that demonstrate a passion for Ecommerce and commercial customers.
