Job Description:
The International Student Coordinator supports The Community Solution Education System’s mission of preparing innovative, engaged, purposeful agents of change who serve our global community. The Coordinator assists in supporting the advising, training and support of staff and International Students for the duration of the student lifecycle, including recruitment, admissions, agent management, regulatory administration, and training. Effective communication and collaboration between Admission Operations and campus International Students and Scholars is required.
Position responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Review and process International Student applications for non-immigrant F-1 and J-1 visa statuses.
- Maintain international admission database including gathering, tracking, and reporting of data.
- Maintain SEVIS compliance and SEVP compliance-related activities including I-17 applications, updates, and recertifications/redesignations.
- Serve as main liaison for prospective student and agent inquiries.
- Train appropriate personnel on counseling International Students and scholars on items including immigration and academic requirements, health insurance, and student support resources.
- Present training materials including but not limited to staff training on immigration-related topics, informational sessions and orientations, work authorization, and status maintenance for International Students.
- Support The Community Solution Education System international recruitment efforts by participating in promotional events, fairs, tours, and related recruitment activities, virtual and in-person.
- Stay current on changing regulations and federal policies affecting international services and provide timely modalities to educate and support all System institutions on evolving regulations.
- Examine current international admission and recruitment processes and recommend changes when necessary.
Position Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Knowledge of immigration rules and regulations pertaining to college admissions policies and procedures.
- Experience working with international education programs, International Student services and/or higher education administration.
- Two or more years of direct experience reviewing/evaluating foreign transcripts and advising students on F-1/J-1 visa categories.
- Skill in delivering presentations with the ability to effectively communicate in oral and written form.
- Experience working with international agents, exchange agreements (Erasmus, J-1 programs), preferred.
- Strong intercultural communication skills with a desire to learn from and work with diverse populations.
- Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally.

Compensation & Benefits
This opportunity is budgeted at $$50,000 - $55,000 base compensation. Additional compensation factors may impact total compensation.
